PROGRESS REPORT #144
Hello everyone, welcome to the 144th progress report!
Before I talk about the previous cycle's progress, let's go over last week's poll results.
The poll
First off, I didn't need to do any calculating between here and Subscribestar, the ranking ended up being similar between platforms. For ease of reading, here are the final results:
Emily
Angelina
Eve
Riley
It's interesting to note that Emily was quite far forward, and Riley quite far behind on both platforms...
Anyway, the results are interesting, but not very surprising. I imagined Riley would be somewhat behind despite her looks because of her cold and rather obnoxious personality. I imagined Eve would be at least second place however, simply because she has much more content than the other girls. Eve has always been a somewhat controversial character (in the sense that people often either love or hate her with no in-between) which I personally explain by her tomboy looks, so I guess that's why she's ranked where she is. Furthermore, there isn't much that can get in the way of a generously-boobied MILF, which had Angelina ranked second.
Then, there's Emily. I suppose a friendly goth GF with barely contained freak is the recipe for success. Or is it simply because you guys are aware she's right next up on the content line? Either way, she stole the show last week.
That's great to see but also a lot of pressure to have you guy's favorite girl be next in line for content. I hope you'll enjoy what the next update has to offer :) Thank you to everyone who voted!
The work
During the previous dev cycle, I began with finishing the fourth and last event from Emily's first quest, and implementing it. I immediately followed up with the next quest renders and I was able to make a few, but that's about when a huge heat wave hit when I live, so I paused all render-making operations. Instead I switched over to programming. I implemented the quest logic for Emily's first quest, did an other round of testing, made some adjustments on how the quests starts (a lot of events fire at the beginning of the game), and then fixed miscellaneous bugs and typos. Then I worked on a menu tutorial after I implemented some related QoL feature, implemented that, then decided to take some advance and began work on audio until today.
Plans for next cycle
I'll probably keep working on the programming for a little bit since I'm still in the middle of stuff, then I'll probably work on a special render (probably on stream), and then I'll resume working on regular event renders.
Anyways, that's it for today's progress report. I hope you guys have a good 10 days. See you on the 10th :)
