HEART OF SILVER - Excerpt 40
We are finally in the modern day!
So obviously, this segment takes place about five minutes after the end of Heart of Iron, and will be the prologue of Heart of Silver. Essentially I'm trying to find a way to give a recap of the last book that tells new readers what's going on while still providing entertainment and new info to old readers.
I saw a Tumblr post a while ago that lamented the fact that more serialized stories don't do that, and immediately thought, Ya know you're right, we SHOULD do that!
Re: Demons' Nest has a very similar prologue, even though the book as a whole is not as kind to new readers as I'm hoping Heart of Silver will be.

I love this way of doing a recap and seeing their friendship, it's so great.
Chris, as always, excellent storytelling, I'm greatly looking forward to the next excerpt, and I genuinely wish you a lovely time writing this sequel.

Also, on the note of recapping the previous book, that's interesting, and I want to do that for any serialized books I manage to publish.
