I don't want to call it a trigger warning per se, because Patrick is super chill about queerness even in the 1940s, despite the fact that he is a rural, Midwestern, middle-school drop-out. But it is still the 1940s, so the historical language and attitude is utilized. (Frankly, I'm not nearly as worried about this chapter as I am about the one where Janine reveals the fact that she's trans. I think I have a way for Patrick to realistically say, "It's all cool, you're still a lady as far as I'm concerned" while still being true to the time period. But we'll see.)

I am absolutely loving this. The writing and all the historical fantasy is amazing, and I loved the reveal and the way they're all dealing with it. Gotta love Blue just revealing it without really being to. I love his character. I am really enjoying this story. Please don't take this comment as pressure! I know you posted that you need to take a hiatus from heart of silver. I just wanted to let you know I am loving it.
You might not need to worry too hard about her trans reveal, from short rabbitholes looking into different Two Spirit identities, I believe the Lakota have a similar word to the ikwekaazo used with the Zumi.
Coming back to this, a funny way could be something along the lines of: "oh, yeah, youve just got the spirit/soul of a lady, that makes sense" well being soulless is one of the Big Vampire issues. [Flustered puppy noises trying to course correct]
