OH YOU FOOL!!! I HAVE FAR TOO MANY LESBIAN BOOKS TO RECOMMEND. I do recommend “cute mutants” by s. J whitiby. I swear, it’s gayer than the first book makes it out to be. Oh! Right! I forgot, it even has aroace rep!

Hello, Mariangellys here! I really enjoyed listening to your thoughts, especially since you opened my mind up to certain aspects I haven't really considered yet. I do thank you for talking about the vampire book when it came to my take on the cartoony covers. I realize now that sometimes the cartoonish style can likely work depending on the story within. That said, I still believe any books with more mature themes should abstain from those covers, if only to avoid young kids and certain adults from thinking they're pg simply because it's a cartoon cover (I'm pointing at Icebreaker and Heated Rivalry here.) If nothing else, more bookstores should make sure those types of books are in a location where it's clearly said those books are not for children or those books need to have better, more obvious warnings on them. I also worry that I didn't specify myself in the first take: I'm not at all for censorship in books, especially in this day and age and being a queer latina writer who wants to corporate aspects of my own traumas in my stories. Sugarcoating what I went through won't help me process it properly. At the same time, most of the dark romance books I picked up before realizing the genre wasn't for me used such topics in such a creepy way that it doesn't feel like the author is trying to make a point or explore a trauma. People who want to explore their traumas in books deserve more respect than what those authors wrote. Thank you for your view point! (Also your pronunciation of my name was almost spot on, which I really appreciate since most people decide to just butcher it!)
