What a huge disappointment, bro. You promised to remove the NTR, but in the end, you never did. You were one of the few developers who didn't follow that trend, yet you ended up doing the same. It's a shame for those of us who have supported you for a long time.

Good decision. You wouldn’t want to risk losing a large portion of your followers just to please a few. NTR is a niche fetish that only really works well in pure NTR games. Adding it to a harem game is a serious mistake. Harem players are extremely possessive, so NTR plus harem is a fatal combination. You also can’t break your fans’ trust by first saying you wouldn’t include something and then later changing your mind, especially without any warning and so late in development.

1. Why wasn't there a clear warning about the unpleasant NTR content, instead of using vague and even misleading announcement language? 2. Why compare 76% of 216 votes to 16,000+ patrons and all the negative comments and DMs, and treat that small vote as the majority opinion? 3. Can we know if you lost any patrons because of this, and if so, how many? And what impact will this have on you and your future games? 4. Why suddenly break the game's silent trust and frame this whole thing as if it's purely a personal artistic freedom？（Why did you rush out in the middle of the meal—not at the start—and dump disgusting chili peppers onto a perfectly finished dessert）?

Apologies for interrupting the discussion, but I'd like to bring up a point that might not have been fully addressed. In the initial announcement, the story content was never clearly described. Phrases like "raw and unfiltered," "deeper narrative experience," and "not always pleasant" were used—which naturally sparked curiosity, but never actually specified what kind of content would be involved. Many of us assumed this meant deeper world-building, more character backstory, or some kind of narrative expansion. What we didn't expect was a sudden, out-of-place scene involving Meredith—one of the most popular female characters in the game, and the protagonist's mother figure—being forcibly kissed, followed by an abrupt brainwashing and mind-control sequence that completely clashed with the game's established tone. If the actual content had been clearly stated beforehand—for example, if the phrase "contains themes/topics that some viewers may find upsetting or disturbing" had been accompanied by a concrete description of what those themes actually were—I believe the backlash would have been significantly milder. To borrow the author's own cooking analogy: this isn't like a restaurant introducing a new dish. This is more like you're already halfway through a perfectly good dessert, and then someone suddenly dumps chili peppers—or something even more inappropriate—right into it, ruining the entire experience. And once that trust is broken, no amount of "optional routes" can fully restore it.

Hey Siren look i've never played your games but i heard about the drama on a certain website and i hope you dont mind me saying but shouldnt that poll have been for long time subs because i've notice a lot of comments here asking for ntr where just created this month now i dont have to tell you that if all i gotta do is donate 1 dollar and the creator of that game will add my kink to the game and create tons of content for it at the cost of a dollar i mean who wouldnt hop on that chance

Siren, I’ll say this. I’ve been a big fan of your work since before this game. Even when this game wasn’t what everyone wanted. I stayed around, if my financial situation had been better, I would have supported you monetarily. That said, I’m incredibly disappointed by how you handled this. You add something you said you had no interest in adding, then you say you’d remove it. Then you keep it in. You said that the poll was voted to keep it in right? But these are the numbers you went by: 76-24 vote (216 votes) 164-51. That seems impressive until it’s put into perspective. You have currently 16,402 total members. 216 that voted, That is 0.013 of your total members. Let’s say you only want the paid members to vote because free people and those that can’t afford it, don’t matter as much. That’s fair. Well, you have 1175 paid members. 216 is just 18% of your total paid subs. Now to but those numbers further into perspective, of the people that voted to keep it it’s just 0.0099% of total members, and of the paid members, it’s just 13.957% of the ones who voted to keep it. I have opinions, but why go through the whole thing, and STILL decide to keep it when only such a small amount of people were for or against. And one thing, there may be a more nuance take than this. There might be an extra vote of 1000 people in the poll that said “I don’t care either way” but there’s not away for free members to know cause it’s not available. I’m saying this because I’m sure there are many that DO care that the kiss in at all. And you just undercut them with a short sighted poll. From the beginning, especially with ZR2 that it would only ever be vanilla. Not NTR. And you turned your back on that. Then when you had a chance to fix it, you didn’t go all the way. I want to have faith in you, but it’s hard when you keep the NTR in anyway.

Lol ntr in a harem when it was promised all those years ago it would not be. But if you are a harem and romance supporter, after what and how it happened, why the hell are you still here supporting? looking on here it seems this has been taken over by the ntr crowd. I get you like the dev and the past games they have created (i liked them as well), but after seeing this in other devs/game i supported in the past, it never gets better or goes away.

Frankly, I play both NTR and pure romance games. But I don't want NTR scenes to happen in the latter, or in the opposite way, it will really ruin my feelings about the game. I don't complain about Siren, but to the people who suddenly ask for an NTR route in this game. Like, WTF, get lost.

Goodness, that scene although I've not played the full game yet and gladly I'm not going to witness it has sparked a lot of tension 😮. It's only here on Patreon where the fans are a bit chill. Just from checking on f95zone, it's a warzone out there. This should show you siren that you should stick to what your fans or supporters knows you for. Don't let some other influences lead you ashtray and lose what you've have built 🙂. Just a small advice from what I've seen 😉 a lot of them fans ain't happy like the comments I've seen here

To be honest, I find it pretty funny when people claim Siren was 'forced' to make these changes. It's just because the stuff that catered to your particular kink got removed, and now you're pissed off. Then you act all righteous saying Siren was pressured and unwilling, like you're 'speaking up for him.'Personally, I think Siren actually seems happier with this change. He's started replying to fans again, and his tone is way more playful and relaxed — like the old Siren we know is back. Maybe at first, when the backlash hit, he did start doubting himself. But after a few days of thinking it over, he probably realized it wasn't the right direction and made the decision he felt was best.I don't see Siren as the type of guy who'd cave to pressure like that. If making these changes has left him feeling happier and more relaxed, then it's the right call. At the end of the day, Siren's just doing what he thinks is best for his game.

Since the voting result is what it is, so be it. There's nothing more to say. For me, this is a terrible outcome, but I'm powerless to change it. The development team could have easily conducted a poll or survey during the new game's development to ask whether an NTR route should be included, rather than introducing such content in a game labeled as pure love and harem, only near the end of the story—causing psychological discomfort for players. With over 1,000 subscribers, only around 200 people have voted so far, which clearly speaks volumes. Such actions are nothing short of undermining the player base that was already established.

In China, there is an idiom called "Seeing the big picture from small details". Here, it can also be interpreted as noticing the underlying major risks from the subtle aspects. Some people think that just a kiss is nothing serious. But what if there are further actions afterwards? At that point, is the heart that comforts the character still the character's alone? This vote is clearly a trial run. I'm very sorry. I arrived one day late and didn't vote for the removal of the CG.

In the future it makes sense to avoid this type of content altogether and I understand removing it from the game, but it also seems a waste for that content to just disappear especially if it has CG's and such attached to it. You could release a patch or mod that reenables the removed content just for those that really want it.

I believe the development team genuinely wanted to create and manage a game well, as it's their passion. However, there was really no need to introduce such a plotline into a game that's nearly complete and previously marketed as a pure love harem story. In my opinion, Meredith's character has already been sufficiently developed. Forcing such an event would backfire. They could always consider adding the NTR element when creating a new game instead.

To be honest, I never wanted this game to include the NTR element. At the time, most forums voiced opposition as well. But when yesterday's voting results came out, everyone was shocked—keeping the kiss option won overwhelmingly over removing the scene. I simply can't understand how people could accept the protagonist's mother and harem having intimate physical contact with other characters. I don't want similar situations to appear in future game storylines, and even regarding this ending, my preference is clearly to remove the event rather than keep it. I truly cannot accept this.

Alright, it’s no surprise we lost one CG scene with Norman. I guess all those people spamming hateful private messages are happy now. You’ve clamped down on the creator’s creative freedom, and now the Lust route barely differs from the Passion route at all. It’s just like when a restaurant launches a new dish. Some people don’t even like it, yet they insist on trying it, then demand the dish be taken off the menu entirely. This drives away new customers who came specifically for that dish, and also discourages many regulars who were curious to give it a shot.

I sincerely wanted to expressed my deepest gratitude to you once more for always trying the best that you can for your audience in delivering an exceptional & ambitious game liked "Zombie Retreat 2" despite the recent circumstances. While I will missed the original scenes, scripts, outcomes that were played out from the Z-Choices in **V. 1.01** or from the previous version that you had originally envisioned in the past, I can sort of understand why the game had to be revised even though the Z-Choices offered the players the chance to witness either outcomes/stakes against an actual formidable foe. For what it was worth, I really enjoyed the contents overall that you have brought to the table and I hoped that you will continue to expand & flesh out the **Z-Choices** feature in later patches or possibly sequel titles going forward. Personally, I loved being offered the options to choose "Multiple Endings" and am a sucker for games that can find a way to cram additional & well developed contents and secrets along the way. It really shows.... "Depths & Scale" in your game compared to the prequels. You, Siren, were one of the few developers out there who genuinely followed through your Roadmaps all the way to the end which not many others can really commit to do. As a result, I wholeheartedly respect that level of efforts and will remain objectively neutral. Watching & Supporting you in anyway that I can to see that your future games will continue to shine even in the darkest of hours.
