Here's the latest Honest Government Ad you've made possible.

Donald Trump says he doesn't know what QAnon is, so I thought we should make an Honest Government Ad about it - because like it or not, it's yet another weird-as-fuck thing that we now have to contend with.

I've been working on this episode for the past two months, researching QAnon and also trying to work out the best way to cover this topic in a way that doesn't just resort to calling QAnons "idiots". Which is what most critics - understandably, but also quite lazily - tend to do.

As you know by now, the Juice Media's satire isn't ever just about having a laugh. Ridiculing something and walking away is easy. But I wanted to also offer an analysis that might help some of those who've been sucked into the QAnon rabbit's rectum find their way out.

Because the truth is we need people who care about truth & justice (as QAnons claim to be) to remain tethered to reality. We need the people who would normally be on the frontline in the fight against shitfuckery, not to be it's cheerleaders. And what's so alarming about QAnon isn't just that it has confused and alienated so many people, but that it has also exploited their good intentions in order to "manufacture support for the status quo, among people who otherwise would not support it" - to borrow Caitlin Johnstone's words.

So much of my research for this HGA was made possible by the work of excellent writers and researchers, so I’ve included links to the main sources I used in the video description of the YouTube video, and in the twitter thread. I strongly encourage you to check these out especially if you know friends and family who have been sucked into the QAnon LARP.

(By the way, I realise there's a fair bit of Q-speak in this video, so for those who don't know: LARP = Live Action Role Playing)

The other reason I wanted to make this HGA is to help people see the connection between Q and the US election, which is now merely a few days away. Particularly in the likely scenario that Trump tries to stop the counting of mail-in ballots after the election, and handballing the decision to SCOTUS (the Supreme Court) - which, unlike QAnon, is no conspiracy - it's exactly what happened in Florida in 2000: the election that gave the world George W Bush.

The real shitshow will begin after Nov 3rd. And the best way to avoid a repeat of 2000 is to be aware of the events discussed in this video.

This will probably be our last US HGA before the election. So good luck to all our Patrons in the USA. Lastly, thank you to everyone who gave me feedback on the preview at the start of the week, and all who voted on the choice of music. (It was a 50/50 split between piano and orchestral so in the end I decided to go with the orchestral - I hope you like how it turned out!)
