[PREVIEW] Amnesia Day - Honest Government Ad
Hello and happy new year everyone! We hope you had a good break and are ready for 2019. We sure are :)
In fact here's the audio preview for our very first Honest Government Ad of the year. We're going to publish it early in the new week so it has a chance to get around before Australia Day on January 26
I know some of you won't agree with us on this issue. In fact, this is such a divisive topic here in Australia that I'd be very surprised if none of our 1000+ Patrons had a different take to us. But you know what, that's absolutely fine. Heck it's probably a good thing that we don't always agree on everything (otherwise this would just be a big circlejerk).
You support us to produce content you tend to agree with; but I hope that this sometimes extends to giving us the freedom to explore the topics we feel need to be covered - even if sometimes our opinions might differ.
Anyway enough typing, I have a video to finish editing.
Catch you in a couple of days!

Dam shame the hot 30 with Matty around Australia was finalised 2 days ago, or it would be in this week. Re running Timor this week.
legend!
Brilliant work, and On Topic again! On Australia day I will do what I always do....I walk around my neighbourhood until I find a nice house where no-one seems to be home. I then stick a British flag in the front yard, declare Terra Nullius and jump the back fence. I then plant some corn and spend the day floating in their pool having a few coldies. I do stop short, however, of shooting everyone with muskets when they come home :-) Then, on May 8 I will celebrate MATE DAY, where everyone is included, and have a grand time rejoicing in being Australian.
wow Mark, that's dedication! :)
Ha sounds great
Great, looking forward to the video. People should really read the history of this land with some empathy, would make a huge difference to FN people (and me too). Currently lots NOT to celebrate about this country, unfortunately :(
Agreed John - I hope you enjoyed the vid!
LMAO great ending... It's embargoed at the moment but when can I share it?
Yeah it is embargoed until the video comes out, which will be either Monday or Tuesday (hoping for Monday) morning
"Factards" pure genius...
Haha am a wee bit proud of myself for coming up with that one :P
Love you guys well done!
Cheers Craig!
Nice job. I liked the contrast with ANZAC day. Is it worth mentioning that the Australia Day holiday wasn't consistently celebrated until 1994? Or that it changes 2 out of every 7 years due to weekends? 😂
Hi T! Funny you should say that, I did have a line in the script about 1994. However it seems to have been lost - along with other lines - during the brutal purge that is necessary to keep these scripts around 2mins!
Oh, can I just suggest a couple of things? I don't know if using 'woke' is going to be lost on a few Aussies, as the term really didn't get much traction here. Also, the reverb at 0:49 & 0:56... is a bit funky, but maybe you are just using that as a placeholder? Really looking forward to the video :D
Thanks for the suggestions Todd! I'll take my chances with "woke" but I've reduced the reverb effect on the megaphone lines - good call!
Ah yes, lovely work :)
Love it. Spot pn.
Yep!!! Can't wait to see the video! :)
Yeahhh, I'd definitely buy that for a dollar (GSTincludedoninvoice) !
Nailed it! Looking forward to seeing it 🥳
Excellent.... at least I think it was .... I've forgotten.....
:D haha!
Spot on! Love your work
Sounds great!
👍👍👍
Great work Giordano! :) Looking forward to the video!
Cheers Sally, it should be ready very soon!
Can't wait to see the video! Completely agree with your stance so I guess being one of the first to comment - I get dibs on positioning in the circlejerk? 2019 off to a great start #blessed #livingbestlyfhun
Haha! Thanks Jon, and I'm glad you agree :)
