Our lesson today starts at Romans 5:11. Paul raises a number of issues surrounding man's need for atonement. The 1611 Fellowship discusses the role of sin prior to and after the Law. Before we get started, Hillis examines some interesting spellings and how they affect meaning.

Thank you for the study. I struggled initially in my walk with the concept of Christ being the "2nd Adam" when I heard people say it. I thought it somewhat blasphemous to equate a mere man, Adam, with Jesus. who is God. It was because I did not fully appreciate the wages of sin concept, and the fundamental importance of Jesus being physically with us in flesh and blood The importance of his being a physical man . . with all of the same struggles we face . . and selflessly paying for our eternal spiritual life with his physical blood. Adam did the opposite and selfishly did his own will to sin. Then, I closely read Paul's words. By which I understood that Paul is merely emphasizing that Jesus was a perfect physical man and corrected the error of sin initially made by the first man Adam.
Scripture also refers to Christ as the last Adam.

how shall the gospel be preached to infants? (or, how can i share it, that they would hear and be saved?). there are many with-child recently, and many cultural-christenings. a time to pray
That depends upon how old they are. Essentially, the Gospel is always the same, "...Belieue on the Lord Iesus Christ..."

I have already passed the "nuance" on about soppe to sop (thank you Hillis) - to someone I am praying gets convicted that the 1611 is the TRUE Word of God ... I think she is coming around slowly ... praying this seales it :) edited: seriously these "errors" all contained in one passage are very difficult to justify as errors. They are obvious to me that it is intentional.
a soppe vs the sop? first thing i thought of was 1 Corinthians 11:29 then Revelation 19:13 Ezekiel 16:6 John 6:56 (also seems to be dipt and dipped elsewhere)
People don't have attention span to read. And to be honest, I find reading very challenging myself, I get easily distracted my eyes jump all over. BUT this is NEVER I mean NEVER the case with reading the 1611. God gives me righteous FOCUS. Praise God.
That truly is a blessing. I don't think I have ever had a problem focusing on reading. My problem is that I tend to become very anti-social when I focus on reading. I don't like any distractions or interruptions. My wife used to find that very irritating, but she's gotten used to the idea over the years. Oh well! No one's perfect. God Bless.
