GENESIS EXPLAINED (PART 1)
Thomas asked an important question about the creation of man versus the creation of animals. I have attached my commentary on Genesis 1-25, wherein, respective of chapter 2 verses 7 & 19. Perhaps this will help.

knowing that God has created all animals, makes me less afraid of some of them (or, in awe, as one fights with their own fear of insects, for example). not long after being born again, i had been reading Genesis. i was cleaning dishes at the sink, and the backdoor was open in the house, and i heard all the birds seemingly singing to God. it stopped me in my tracks. i had heard birds my entire life, and had never thought about them, or appreciated them. but on that day i stuck my head outside like i had never seen or heard any birds before. because God made them. they have never been the same since that day - God's hand i see everywhere. the same with leafs, and dirt, and rain. the world just didn't seem to exist to me, before that. now every fruit and flower is from God. psalm 147 , praise ye the lord
My house is in a semi-tropical rain forest, with trees and vines everywhere. The birds love it. Sometimes my wife and I sit and listen and try to identify all the different birds by their songs. She's very good at it. I am constantly reminded of the miracle and beauty of God's creation. It's unfathomable.
