Hillis opens with a quick look at the word iniquity and how it means different things when spelled differently in the 1611 AKJB. After that John concludes our study of the history of the church, bringing us up to the present. He emphasizes that Christians understand who is antichrist. On a side note (my commentary) Vicarius Filii Dei, a title of the Pope, means 'in place of God/Christ,' and every time the word 'anti' is used in the New Testament it means 'a substitute for something.' And, oddly, using the Latin system of numbering Vicarius Filii Dei it adds up to 666. Enjoy!

Hillis I’ve been reading through 1Theffalonians 1:11-12 the word Lord changed to Lorde is there a reason for the added e ? Just curious 🧐 I went back on my notes from a while back I think either you or John went through the different spelling of the word LORD =God, Lord =Jesus , or Holy Spirit etc so can you shed light on Lorde ?
Looking at Isaiah 19:4 (first × "Lorde" appears, only × in O.T.) and the 9 × in the N.T. it seems to point more directly/specifically to the love of God in providing for our atonement and end time deliverance.

Hi Elsie, We can't rule out the possibility of a "type-setting error." However, in no way does it confuse meaning, but it gets our attention, and causes us to ponder the deeper meaning of the text.
i think its an opportunity for humbleness/acceptance also. maybe for some that's more of a challenge (why is lOOOsed in there if it's "definitely wrong"), but i think thats good too

HI Roy, You are so right; the amount of material one could talk about would take volumes of books to thoroughly cover. I'm hoping that the information we provided will impel people to do further research. Many years ago I read Crowley's books - pure Satanism. He maintained that "at the last moment" (whatever that means) Jesus and Lucifer trade places. Does that sound familiar?

That was good. I’ve read that book before about the Jesuits and their secret council and when it says about the book is like an adder but we will turn it into a viper or something like that. Very serious book. Imagine if Christians actually read that? Very very powerful book. Very well researched lesson that one was, touched down on a lot of stuff.
