PART 1. History of the Church
Hillis leads the 1611 Fellowship through the early history of the church. I'm sorry this wasn't posted first. I was sure I posted it.

Hi Thomas, "Thou shalt not kill," is a summary of what the phrase intends, and it is thoroughly explained in the various Books of Moses to refer to murder of a human being. Ignorant people often isolate that commandment without ever having read the Law. It must be understood in context. The Bible explains itself, all definitions are contained therein. How can any book which is decidedly not the word of God be used to clarify or explain that which is the word of God? It makes no sense.
To all those who replied to my comment. I have never read a Scofield Bible or any man’s name on a Bible. I was not indoctrinated by building church denominations. I only mentioned Bryan Ross because he is a history major and has done many video series dealing with 1611 and 1769 . I don’t exactly pay that much attention to church fathers but what does the Bible teaches in all the eras. I just simply ask questions and pay close attention to what every word says. I’m a very detailed person and deep thinker. I don’t put labels on my findings. I’m not obsessed with the Roman Catholic Church. Any false religion is just as bad. I don’t ignore that there are differences but for some reason people don’t want to acknowledge that fact. I do what 2 Timothy 2:15 says even though it’s a personal letter written to Timothy. For some reason the LORD has put many Roman Catholic people around me. My own Pop grew up on the south side of Chicago and many of his side of family are RC. My Pop rebelled and wanted nothing to do with it. I used to be a hairdresser and cleaned houses for those who couldn’t. I had a shop in my home and stayed home with my 2 boys. I cleaned houses when they were much older. In November 2012 I was 46 and had to have neck surgery. A few months later I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I have chronic nonstop pain all over my body and I after the surgery couldn’t work anymore. I couldn’t do what I used to do. It’s gotten worse the past 6 years. I’m kind of a shut in now. I have always studied but now I have more time and less distractions. I’m 60 now and I have learned even more as I look back. Some of what the Bible says is supposed to happen has not happened yet. I do not believe the Pope or their religion is the Antichrist. That word is used only in John’s first letter. There are other names to describe a final man who will have Satan,Devil etc. be inside of him and claim to be God or the Christ. That has not happened yet. Pope is just a title and many men have filled that position. Just like we have a president and have had many fill that position. God had hidden many things from everyone including Satan. I take the Bible literally and don’t spiritualize unless the Bible says. People can believe what they want but I just read what it says and know that’s not talking about me. I don’t follow any man. I go to who has the most light been given to. I pay attention to the text. Phrases that appear over and over. There’s just some information that we will not know until we are in Heaven. I don’t claim to know all the answers but am continually trying to learn and be as objective as I can. I do not make anyone feel less if they don’t see what I do. I just want Truth and live by it. I don’t put labels on myself either. I know by the people I have spoken with that being in a false religion is heartbreaking and takes years to not feel like they are in bondage anymore. It’s awful. I focus on the Gospel and what has God done TO YOU. The Liberty and simplicity that we have in Christ and His Body. The ministry of reconciliation is what I talk about. I received these emails because I was in the group that Reginald started awhile back. I left a few years back but read and listen when I can. Grace and Peace Kris.
I had another conversation about the Bible with my coworkers yesterday. I took out my Bible to show them a couple key passages that other bibles get horribly wrong. The one coworker, whom I mentioned previously, told me that Jesus didnt fuss about translations and asked me if I believed „thou shalt not kill“ was the right translation. I said yes. He then asked me if I was a vegan, since by his logic that would mean bringing animals to death would violate this commandment as written. I don’t have a good response to this, but I did say that obviously it applied to humans. I want to rethink how to develop my approach. He also uses a concordance and says Thats how he compares scripture with scripture.
vegan is a new one
Some years ago I was into Dispensationalism like Kris seems to be. For some reason close to the same time I was investigating the 1611 I started to see the same basic Christ-centered message all over all parts of the Bible. The main thing I keep in my mind is that I and everyone else without exception need to believe in Jesus Christ and his words, that his kingdom is in heaven, and that his true temple is his body and his church.
Well said, Thomas. Simple, elegant and to the point, as the Gospel is meant to be.
You might want to check out Bryan C Ross who is a History major and teaches history in school. He has a building church called Grace Life Church in Grand Rapids Michigan. His YouTube channel is called Grace Life Bible. He does an Adult Sunday school class and does the Sunday morning teaching service. I believe you all would be edified by his research. I don’t hear much from this particular group about the hidden mysteries that were given to the Apostle Paul by the Glorified Jesus in Heaven. They were hidden in God UNTIL He revealed them to the Apostle Paul only. One of those great Mysteries is the Body of Christ where He is the Head and we are His Body. The church can mean different things depending on context. In the wilderness they had a church. The Body of Christ didn’t start until it was revealed to Paul. So what you have all the way into Acts 8 is the Jewish little flock. Christ earthly ministry was to the lost house of Israel and Christ told the 12 not to go into the way of the Gentiles. The church in Acts 2 is NOT the Body of Christ because it had not even been revealed yet. The Apostle Peter had a ministry of the Circumcised and the Apostle Paul was a chosen vessel of the Gentiles. They did not teach the same things and there are differences between Israel and the Body of Christ. Romans-Philemon was written to the Body of Christ. Every letter Paul penned had his signature on it. If you don’t recognize there’s a difference between the 2 you will be very confused. The 12 Apostles will be sitting on 12 Thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel and the Body of Christ will be judging the Angels. We have different functions and our blessings are manly spiritual and Israel’s are earthly. Right now the Holy Spirit is Spirit baptizing anyone who believes the Apostle Paul’s Gospel. I Corinthians 15:1-4 into the Body of Christ until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in. The Gospel of the Kingdom is Not the same as what the Glorified Jesus taught Paul those years in Arabia. Paul would say My Gospel. The Gentiles were called Dogs not Sheep. They had nothing and were without God. Unfortunately because most people went to denomination building churches were indoctrinated with whatever they taught. A man has been their teacher and not just the scriptures and Holy Spirit. All scriptures we can learn from but not all scriptures are written to us. God gave different directions in certain times and most don’t know how to do what 2 Timothy 2:15 says. The Body of Christ already has so many things that are freely given to us except we don’t have our new resurrected bodies yet. An interesting phrase that is used in Paul’s letters only is… the Faith of Christ or the Faith of the Son of God that he lives by. See Galatians 2:20. We do not have to prove our faith. There’s no faith in the flesh. It’s God’s faith that we rely on now. See also Romans 16:25-27. Paul is our Apostle and he said,”Follow me as I follow Christ.” I hope people will think hard about these things because you won’t hear them going to a denomination building church. Denominations are not Biblical either. The Bible is progressive revelation and for whatever reason he was not allowed to write down what he witnessed in Heaven. John on the other hand was because he had never seen the Glorified Jesus in Heaven and it has to do with the time of Jacob’s trouble and not the Body of Christ. Grace and Peace.
hello kris. i dont know much, but i hear these things. here is where i have heard these things: i have heard these things together in online churches and in books inside of dispensations and denominations, which are seemingly compatible, both those who claim the names/titles for these frameworks (like mid acts pauline dispensationalism and multiple gospels, literalism), and those who dont. have u been reading a Scofield reference bible? are you sure about where you stand? it tastes of these things also, even tho u may have differing or more advanced views, along with bryan c. maybe the further posts/talks on The History of the Church will cover some of these things. let me know if i'm off-base.
ok. seems it said to share. this is what i've found. it enough to break ur brain doing this. i aint built for it. juggling a stirfry here and thinking about the verse about esteemed words more than necessary food too is there another verse that missing that would be useful? --- to the best of my knowledge: i have seen them with my eyes 1 correctly rendered 1611s - hard brown paperbacks and bendy black leathers (Hendricksons) which use plain text, and bigger text version/giant pew-bibles (King James Bible: 400th Anniversary Edition from Oxford Uni Press/Gordon Campbell), which also use plain text (rather than gothic script) .Proverbs 3:5 "leane not" Nn .James 1:22 "deceiuing" Dd .Song of Solomon 2:7 "she please" Ss 2 correctly rendered 1611 on kingjamesbibleonline.org - original 1611 bible scans (scanned images in fancy gothic ink print font script) (https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1611-Bible-KJV/webp/Proverbs-Chapter-3-4.webp) (https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1611-Bible-Original/James-Chapter-1-2.jpg) (https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1611-Bible-Original/Song-of-Solomon-Chapter-1-3.jpg) .Proverbs 3:5 "leane not" Nn .James 1:22: "deceiuing" Dd .Song of Solomon 2:7 "she please" Ss ---------------------------------------- also seen with eyes 2026: 3 corrupted "1611" studylight (still fills me with rage to this DAY lolcasualdisclosure) and many fake1611bible apps on android/google-playstore (have not found any at all that line up proper, sry). seem to use same text.
