Dark Apprentice Retexture [LM]

This is a retexture for Dark Apprentice (3BA SMP).

Info:

  • 4k/2k

  • default Vanilla support (works for ENB)

  • PBR support

  • Support for CS Hair Specular

Installation in the ORDER as mentioned:

  1. FOR ALL USERS (3BA and UBE):

  • Install Dark Apprentice (3BA SMP)

  • Install "00_Dark Apprentice (3BA SMP) Retex - PBR Feathers [LM]"

  • If you want to use the hair version install - "01_Dark Apprentice (3BA SMP) Retex - PBR Hair [LM]"

  1. UBE users ONLY:

  • Install SmolSaltLemon - Dark Apprentice UBE SMP

  • Install "02_Dark Apprentice UBE Retex - PBR Feathers [LM]"

  • If you want to use the hair version install - "03_Dark Apprentice UBE Retex - PBR Hair [LM]"

  1. FOR ALL USERS (3BA and UBE):

If you use pre-build meshes you install the files as mentioned above. If you use ENB/Vanilla you are finished now with install.

  • If you use CS and PBR - run PGPatcher now, if you use the hair version AND CS Hair Specular - enable CS hairflow patching in PGPatcher

If you use your own BodyPreset, you run BodySlide for Mantle and Robe. If you use ENB/Vanilla you are finished now with install.

  • If you use CS and PBR - run PGPatcher now, if you use the hair version AND CS Hair Specular - enable CS hairflow patching in PGPatcher

If you switch between feathers and hair version you NEED to rerun Bodyslide for the MANTLE and PGPatcher again.

I changed parts in the robe to be transparent. Those meshes are provided for the BodySlide and the pre-build meshes for UBE and 3BA.

I provide a mantle mesh for the 3BA version that has head bones applied, therefore doesn't clip on the neck. SmolSaltLemon has that fixed by now, and provides an optional download on her original mod. I left it in because I didn't wanted to redo the mantle meshes.

The hair version includes mantle meshes for BodySlide, pre-build meshes and GND (the mesh that gets used when you drop the stuff from inventory on the ground). Those change the feather mesh part's flags to hairtint shaders - for 3BA and UBE.

The default hair color in the hair mod file is black. I provide optional hair colors (01a-01d). It's a simple overwrite for the main hair mod file. You still NEED the MAIN hair mod file, those are just optional diffuse textures.

  • medium brown

  • bright blonde

  • rainbow

  • rainbow dark

Those optional hair color mods can be switched up at ANY GIVEN TIME, without re-running anything. BUT DO NOT SWITCH BETWEEN FEATHERS AND HAIR LIKE THAT! It will not work.

I texture cavities for dirt, grime and dust. Some parts of the cloth has wear and tear. Which means this retexture isn't compatible with every single ZAP Slider in the Bodyslide. The vanilla/ENB version has the AO baked into the diffuse, which means the same thing, this version is not compatible with all ZAP sliders. The PBR version doesn't, because the AO is applied in the _rmaos map, but has the cavities and wear and tear.

BE AWARE, and check the Bodyslide and how you wanna use the ZAPs, BEFORE you do all the work with re-running BodySlide and PGPatcher. PLEASE!

If you want the hair color of the mantle sync with the hair color of the NPC or your own character you need - Hair Colour Sync NG!

This was all a lot of work and optional stuff, and it sometimes simply all broke my brain. Please let me know if anything doesn't work in the comments. BUT please make sure you follow the instructions.

I know this can be very confusing for people who aren't as experienced in the technicality of modding. I can't really change it much, that's the nature of the thing. I tried to make it as clear as possible. Please feel free to ask in the comments if you are unsure. Or read the comments if there are already asked questions, that might answer yours.
