IDSG Bonus 7: In The Loop

Originally in honor of the death of Donald Rumsfeld, but in the end a meditation on the fuckwits that rule our lives, Jack and I discuss the 2009 film In the Loop, and the potential for satire in general to have any effect at all on the world at large.

We also reveal what old men we have become by reminiscing about old television for the first twenty minutes or so.

This is your July bonus episode, and yes we know this is late -- Jack and I have both been very busy the last couple of months but we are dedicated to getting an extra bonus episode out this month, as well as two main series episodes.

I am also considering other types of bonus content I might be able to provide to upper-tier backers, like a monthly live Q&A or a regular newsletter for $5 and up subscribers? I've been long meaning to get more involved with my Patrons, who after all allow me to keep doing this work, so please leave a comment below with suggestions of possible bonus content you'd appreciate.

Thanks as always for your support, and please enjoy this episode.
