IDSG Bonus 41: The Shoes of the Fisherman

Jack and I discuss another Pope Movie, this one a drama from 1968. I'd never heard of it before but Jack has a bit of a cultural history with it. Neither of us much liked the end product, but there are very interesting things in the movie and I think we made a great bonus episode out of it.

Note that Jack's internet crapped out at around the hour mark and we recorded the end a day later. You will definitely never notice this in the edit.

The movie is very findable online if you know where to look, and while I wouldn't recommend it for the nearly three hour runtime, if movies about the popery are in your interest and you've never seen this, it might be worth your attention.

The Megyn Kelly episode is very likely to be next, and I've got a couple of repeat guests coming on down the line. The next bonus is very likely to be Bombshell (2019) if you want to watch ahead.

Thanks as always for your continued support. It means the world to me.
