IDSG Bonus 40: Dirty Harry (1971)
Jack and I are joined by our great friend actor Elliot Chapman to discuss one of Elliot's favorite films from childhood (although we all know it's fascist propaganda) Dirty Harry, from 1971. This was a great conversation among friends, a little more chill than we've been lately, and a good end of spring/beginning of summer listen I think.
Jack and I are planning to do some more pope movies moving forward, and of course I will schedule another live chat as my schedule allows.

Really enjoyed this! The Long Goodbye would be a great one!
Love the take on Robinson. I actually knew him first as Garak, Star Trek's stab at an ex-CIA/MI6 character and one of the best characters of the franchise. Robinson was able to exercise much, much more creative control over this character, to the point where iirc he published a novel based on all the backstory he had developed. I also loved The Long Goodbye (really need to rewatch!), though even more for how it contrasts with Hawks, Bogart, & Bacall's The Big Sleep (ditto!) than how it compares to Dirty Harry.
