Ad Free: Mary I pt 2
Mary. You in danger, girl.
Mary Tudor has already lost her title, her mother, and any illusion that her father is going to come to his senses. And somehow… things are about to get even messier.
In Part 2, Anne Boleyn is out, Mary is bullied into submission, and she's finally welcomed back into Henry VIII’s good graces. We follow her through new stepmothers, a surprisingly cute Protestant suitor, the brutal execution of Margaret Pole, and an uneasy reconciliation with the father who turned her life into a psychological horror story.
Then Henry dies, her baby brother becomes King Edward VI, and Mary’s Catholic faith puts her right back in danger. There are illegal Masses, an attempted escape, sibling showdowns, and one very ominous warning.
By the end, Edward is dead. Mary is queen… right?
Well. Yes and no.
Cheers, bitches. 🍻

Just FYI, it's been completely disproven that wearing yellow was a Spanish tradition for mourning. That theory started with historian/author Alison Weir and she later looked into it and admitted that it was a misreading of a text. Whatever you think of Henry and/or Anne, the yellow was absolutely tacky as fuck.
