Katy Reads the Classics: Rebecca (ch 4-6)
Welcome back Katy Reads the Classics So You Don't Have to! We're covering Chapters 4-6 of Rebecca, where Maxim de Winter goes from mysterious widower to waving enough red flags to start a parade (at least in my opinion). We talk age gaps, weird proposals, awkward first "dates," Mrs. Van Hopper somehow making a good point for once, and why I spent an alarming amount of time convinced someone was about to get shoved off a cliff.
We also get our first real glimpse of the shadow hanging over this story: Rebecca herself. She's gone... but she is definitely not gone.
As always, I'm reading so you don't have to. Grab a cup of tea (or something stronger) and come spiral with me. Cheers, bitches.

I never thought I'd get around to reading this book, so I was so excited for this series, but I got so invested and couldn't wait that I listened to the audiobook in like a day. And holy moly, I loved this book!
I haven't seen the movie but can picture Armie Hammer being creepy. You said you didn't like the casting though
I couldn’t wait for the rest. I’m a teacher on summer break flying through this creepy little story. I have no idea how this will end, but I can’t help noticing all of the conversations and false scenarios she has in her head. And realizing I do the same thing…
