W.I.P. #13 | Some Time Travel 👀

Hello hello!!

I know I have sort of disappeared after posting Nancy Part 5, but it was for a good reason! I have been working non-stop on the next fun project! 🥰

I wanted a little break from the classical style and really needed to experiment with some more modern items to enrich your gameplay. Everyone who knows me knows about my obsession with Midcentury Modern architecture, so honestly, I’m surprised I didn’t start this collection sooner!

If you’re not familiar with MCM, think fun colours, fun patterns, lots of beautiful wood tones (I may or may not have a wood palette with 12 different swatches 😥😂) and most importantly, a clean modern look that still feels cozy and comfortable.

I decided to start this collection with doors and windows. When I first made these for Nancy Part 3, I struggled A LOT and barely knew where to begin. But this time around, things are very different and I’m honestly so proud of the progress I’ve made over the past few months. It makes me so happy to see myself getting better and being able to deliver better results with every collection!

I finally figured out how to make those cute little wood cuts so the windows look much more like real-life ones, with proper joints and all those tiny detail😂

I have also created a new wood texture that is looking amazing for this set, with a little bit more details than the previous ones. I will also add a few metal swatches with some fun colors!

As of right now, we have:

• 3 different heights for each window, door and arch

• 3 different widths (1, 2 and 3 tiles) for each window and door

• Extra window heights so you can use them above counters or as picture windows

Meaning we already have over 30 items! 😂

I then worked on some really cute arches, and I desperately wanted to use stained glass with geometric shapes inspired by Piet Mondrian. I think they came out super duper cute!

Next up will be skylights (I have something SUPER exciting in mind hihihi 👀) and a few build items like trims and columns.

Later this month, I’ll also be working on interior doors, wallpapers and a few more items!

PS: I also decided to use some fun colours for this WIP instead of my usual plain, boring white. I don’t know how much I like it yet, but it sure is quirky ahah!
