Devlog 002 – Facial Expressions & Animation Blending
Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time working on how to properly blend recorded animations with procedural animation. The goal is to give the characters more personality and make their reactions feel more natural, especially through facial expressions.
In the future, there will be multiple characters, and I’d like to use different expression sets to give each of them a distinct personality, whether that’s a brat, a kinky lover, or a more rebellious type.
The system is already in a good state and produces solid results, but there’s still room for improvement. Finding the right balance between pre-recorded animation and procedural control is a delicate process, and it requires a lot of testing and fine-tuning to keep everything feeling cohesive.
I’ve started adding control over gaze and facial expressions directly in the snapshot tool! I plan to develop this further and improve the interface in the futur.
A public alpha release will be available soon !
For those who don’t want to wait, or who would like to support the project, a PreRelease version of Kinky Studio (reflecting the current state of the project) is already available for kinky supporter.
