From forbidden affairs and double lives to viral meltdowns and redemption arcs, your Sims will rise, fall, and rebuild their name over ten messy generations.

How it works:

Each generation in the challenge follows a scandal theme with specific traits and goals to complete before moving on. Every heir must be born naturally, and the story should stay dramatic — full of infidelity, secrets, and chaos.

Mods are highly recommended for realistic gameplay and storytelling (such as Slice of Life, Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul, or Basemental). Custom traits can also be used for added depth. Cheats are allowed only for aesthetics or once per generation as a “scandal payout.” Start with $100,000 simoleons, keep aging on, and play on Normal (or Long) lifespan.

Each generation features:

❥ A scandal (main drama)

❥ A family flaw (emotional/moral downfall)

❥ A redemption goal

❥ An heir rule (how the next heir is chosen)

Players are encouraged to document their stories with screenshots, diary entries, or posts, and share them using #TheScandalLegacyChallenge or #TSCL.
Every heir should have a “scandal moment” that defines their story and a legacy keepsake representing their journey (like a diary or heirloom).

Optional: create a family wiki or tabloid-style updates to track the family’s scandals and invite others to join the chaos.

Rules:

❥ Each generation’s heir must be the Sim who best embodies the scandal (you decide how messy it gets).

❥ Keep one major secret per generation — it must be discovered before the next heir takes over.

❥ You can choose your world, gender, and sexuality freely.

❥ Use story progression, whims, or random events to decide your scandals — let chaos lead the story.

❥ Traits can repeat, but each heir must include at least one required trait from their generation list.
