We Can't Stop Smiling... Taylor Swift's Toy Story 5 Song Is BEAUTIFUL | I Knew It, I Knew You
Taylor Swift is officially part of the Toy Story universe, and Swifties... we have A LOT to talk about.
In this completely uncut and unedited reaction, Rick and Corrina sit down to listen to Taylor Swift's brand new original song, "I Knew It, I Knew You," written for Toy Story 5. What starts as a simple song reaction quickly turns into a nearly hour-long conversation about Taylor Swift, Pixar, Disney, Easter eggs, Jessie, fan theories, childhood nostalgia, and what this collaboration could mean for the future.
Before we even get to the song, we dive into the months of clowning that led up to this moment. From the mysterious blue sky and cloud imagery on Taylor's website to the endless fan theories circulating online, Swifties once again proved why no fanbase catches details quite like they do. Rick also talks about being skeptical throughout the countdown and watching Swifties connect the dots in real time before ultimately seeing those theories become reality.
Once we hear "I Knew It, I Knew You," we break down the lyrics, discuss the emotional connection to Jessie, and talk about why the song feels like classic Disney storytelling while still sounding unmistakably Taylor Swift. We also spend a lot of time discussing the incredible production from Jack Antonoff and how the orchestration, instrumentation, and vocal layering bring so much warmth, emotion, and life to the track.
We also explore some of the biggest Toy Story 5 theories currently circulating among fans, including the possibility that Jessie's story could involve finding Emily again after all these years—or perhaps even meeting Emily's daughter. We discuss why so many people are connecting emotionally with that idea and whether the song supports those interpretations. We also touch on theories involving Jessie and Buzz, even if we're not entirely convinced.
Beyond the song itself, we spend a lot of time celebrating Pixar. From our favorite Pixar movies and characters to the impact Pixar has had on animation, storytelling, and pop culture, this episode becomes a love letter to one of the most influential studios of all time. We also talk about how special it is getting to revisit these stories as parents and experience them again through the eyes of our children.
And of course, we can't help but speculate about Taylor Swift's future relationship with Disney. Is this simply a one-song collaboration? Could Taylor have a larger role in Toy Story 5? Could Disney and Taylor be building something much bigger together? What did Taylor mean when she said she's excited to be part of this universe "to infinity and beyond"?
Whether you're a longtime Swiftie, a Pixar fan, a Disney lover, or someone who simply enjoys deep-dive music discussions, we're so excited to share this reaction with you.
What did you think of "I Knew It, I Knew You"?
And what do you think comes next for Taylor Swift and Disney?

So something EVERYONE misses…the disney family owned the venture capital firm that had Taylor’s Masters. (I have to say because I work there that this is all my own theory and not based in anything I’ve learned from my job). But yeah they owned them. I told my husband when Disney got the eras tour movie, that I think she used stuff like giving them her video recording rights to get her masters back. Also Disney had her costumes at the parks in Florida. I can’t say for sure if this is right but I can promise there’s more going on there. Our ceo just retired and the last thing he did was meet with Taylor Swift.
Hi from your new friend that works at Disney 🫶🏻
Taylor performed at the Toy Story 5 premiere https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSQAqHyuh/
She did the "Taylor thing" with the lyric flip. In the first 2 chorus', she sings "I remembered I loved you" and by the third chorus, she changed it to "And YOU told me I loved you"
Did you see that Pixar released 12 photos that were mimicking Taylor’s albums! So funny
I can’t stop listening to this song! Soooo good!
Great song to go with Toy Story franchise
Either way of camping would be great
This is the best! Can't stop smiling either. 😀
I am hoping Taylor is the voice of Emily.
@ 12:45 I’m on Corrina’s side. My husband has to validate my wild Swiftie clowning and if he doesn’t believe me then he is the enemy
Thank you for the reaction, it’s a lovely song and a perfect partnership between Taylor and Toy Story. Iconic ish all over the place and I can’t wait to see the song in the movie.
Rick grabbing testes 20 seconds in, I don’t expect anything different.
Is there a chance that perspect changes in the middle of the song? Jessy first and then her ex owner. Taylor likes to switch perspectives.
Hahahahahahaha! A Bugs Life was one of my favorites back when my daughter was little. Lol She's 30 now, so it's been a while since I've seen it!
I love it so much! Love how easily she can go back to country.
