Swiftie Reacts To Kendrick Lamar's Victory Lap | Not Like Us Music Video

After losing an entire debate episode due to an audio recording failure (seriously... one of the best discussions we've ever had 😭), we had to pivot quickly and bring you something we've been excited to cover for a long time:

Katie's reaction to Kendrick Lamar's NOT LIKE US music video.

And honestly... we're glad we did.

This episode is a little different than most of our Kendrick reactions. We've already reacted to the lyrics, we've already discussed the diss track itself, and we've spent months covering every twist and turn of the Kendrick vs Drake battle.

This time we're focusing on just vibing with Kendrick and breaking down the few visual references we catch.

The symbolism.
The cultural references.
The hidden messages.
The Easter eggs.
The victory lap.

And this is where we need YOUR help.

We're fully aware that there are likely West Coast references, Los Angeles references, street culture references, and cultural nuances that we may not catch or fully understand. Robert wasn't able to join us for this recording, and we jumped into this episode with very little prep after discovering our debate episode was unusable.

So if we missed something...

PLEASE tell us in the comments.

Seriously.

Break down every frame.
Correct us (nicely).
Add context.
Teach us something.

We want this comment section to become a resource for everyone watching.

In this episode we discuss:

• Kendrick's Squabble Up teaser hidden at the beginning of the video
• Why Kendrick is known for planting Easter eggs in his music videos
• The visual storytelling throughout NOT LIKE US
• The cultural impact of the Kendrick vs Drake battle
• Why this song became impossible to escape in 2024
• Whitney's appearance and response to Drake
• The family moment that became one of the most talked-about scenes in hip hop
• How NOT LIKE US evolved from a diss track into a cultural phenomenon

By the end of this reaction we're talking about Grammy wins, Billboard dominance, the Super Bowl, social media, and the unbelievable run this song went on after the battle ended.

Whether you're Team Kendrick, Team Drake, or just a fan of hip hop culture, we'd love to hear your thoughts below.

What references did we miss?

What is your favorite visual in the music video?

And where does NOT LIKE US rank among the greatest diss tracks ever made?

Comment below to let us know your thoughts and make sure you check back this Sunday for our next episode!

It's been a fun ride and we really enjoy hanging out with you all here but, lets get out of this town. We can drive out of the city, away from the crowds. Certainly Heaven can't help us now, and nothing lasts forever. But this is gonna take us down.

See yall Sunday!
