Johnny, my friends play MTG like that and im essentially like you, because i dont know all the strats that well. They have years of experience on me. Ive had games where i just fucking zone out and do something else due to getting owned by their wombo combos and basically losing all my guys or my capability. Then its like watching them play solitaire. Some matches are just like that. What I had to learn was to build my deck to anticipate the combos, just try to shut down their engines. Ive had games where i ended up winning or at least made a difference because my deck had improved interaction. Maybe its just me, but i do find it fun to shut off big power like that. So i hope you're not too discouraged and keep playing commander bro

Johnnys whole thing with Commander is so real haha. I usually stick with Modern cause it's just 1 on 1 (which I prefer), have a wide range of options to build decks and while Commander is supposed to be more "MTG Party Mode", people treat it like it's death duel sometimes. Also just the amount of people for it is overkill. It's a bit easier to keep track when it's just you against one person.

I'm glad to hear MCR was good live. I'm seeing them at Aftershock at the start of October and I hope they do the A and B sets like in the arena shows. The one song off of Bullets I want to hear is Drowning Lessons but I know they never play it live.
Damn shoulda titled this “I Don’t Know Dan Olson” I think what’s a worse feeling than Jackbox at the party is Cards Against Humanity. My friends can’t read so they’ll go “LOL women’s suffrage? Like women gettin beat n shit? That wins!” I’m just down to play beer pong or something.

Sorry for the patreon cancellation jump scare! I'll be back. I'm living on ramen for the next few months. Sadly my Cat didn't make it. More and more issues kept popping up and he was in agony. We had to say goodbye last week. Biggest advice I can give anyone is GET PET INSURANCE. I'm dealing with sorting out $24,000~. If you can't pay, then the ER will just have to send you home and you gotta watch your pet suffer.
