Annihilation (Patreon Short)

The novels are a lot more weird and psychological than the uncomfortable body horror stuff of the film.

Ah a normal day in florida

Mainly wild cats Hunt through whats known as aggressive mimicry like Tigers do it and so do the Margay who imitate the sound of baby pied Tamarin monkeys and the sounds is similar to the babys distress call so other monkeys want to check and make sure they are all good

If you like kitbashes, there's a kitbasher called White Flag on YouTube who made an Annihilation theme-based mechanicum force.

C4 is actually pretty damn stable as an explosive. You can throw it, shoot it, or light it on fire and burn it like wood. It needs a pretty specific shockwave to detonate.

This is why I only drink NOS energy drinks

Fantastic cosmic horror movie the bear bit still sticks with me. As a side note hoping one day the lads cover Bioshock specifically the fall of Rapture.

As someone who read The Southern Reach books I very much look forward to hearing about the movie version of the first book, for the books at least it's one of my favorite depictions of an alien intelligence and something that feels very Zone adjacent from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series of games or Roadside Picnic edit: I can already tell 8 minutes in that a good chunk of the book has been thrown out or altered lmao, the visuals sound very interesting though edit 2: They both take place in Florida at least lmao, the movie sounds like it's still worth a watch on my end since that may be the extent of similarities. The mimicry talk reminded me that the metro books would go P E R F E C T L Y WITH THIS PODCAST Good minisode!
