I've already moved on to the execution!
Now I've got a clear roadmap, and all that's left is execution. As always, I'm starting with the hardest part: programming the mechanic. It's based on daily random events. I haven't touched the events themselves yet (I've brainstormed about 20 of them, but they're not coded), but all the surrounding systems – how they appear, how they're configured, etc. – are already in the works. I'd even say most of it is done (about 500 lines of code written so far). The only thing left to figure out is a way to select the events that's interesting from a gameplay point – so they don't repeat, aren't too punishing, or too generous. Once that's wrapped up, there's going to be a ton of art, so I'll have plenty to show you guys.
