Devlog 23
The task list has come to an end. Right now I'm mostly testing, and I'm almost done.
I think the update will be released within a week. Overall, everything is ready, but I need to take care of some things not directly related to development. It's a shame that I can't just draw and code...
The release will be as usual — first for subscribers (thank you all), and then a week or two later publicly.
Progress over the last week:
Integrated new dialogues into the game, set them up and linked them to scenes
Slightly changed the beginning of Chapter 2 (added guards for the Sergeant, changed character placement)
Added a warning about save incompatibility when trying to load saves from the old version. Unfortunately, they can't be compatible — the game will have to be replayed
Made the rooster crow quieter
Fixed the day display in the chapter with the wife — now you can see what day of the week it is
Drew icons for new scenes
Changed the balance — it's a completely different game now
Improved the pause menu in the wife's chapter — added a tooltip with control keys
Tested game progression — unfortunately only by myself, but everything seems to be in order. Quests work, saves don't break, difficulty is acceptable. Fixed all bugs found along the way
Also, good news:
The guy who helped with editing has completely disappeared, but a caring subscriber (I don't know if he wants me to publicly mention his nickname) volunteered to help with this issue. We've already edited almost all the dialogues, but we won't make it in time for this update's release. However, in the next update, the translation won't hurt the ears, and the dialogues themselves will become significantly better.
Thank you very much, caring subscriber!
