i learned these songs from BTS so whenever i come across other groups or even the original, it's just lacking the same passion. I always love that BTS always performed like the rent is due.

Sometimes I see Ronnie get so red and giddy over a Jimin performance and gulp down water so cutely afterwards, like you can just TELL, he'll be rewatching that many times later by himself hahahah

One of my fave BTS covers is I'll Be Missing You! They did a cover of it during pandemic and Yoongi and Hobi even added their own rap verses. The vocal line went OFF in their adlibs!! I hope you guys give it a watch :] Not a fan of the main artist of the song lol but I just really love how BTS took the song and made it into something that is theirs.

There's a 2nd gen singer named Rain, and the song is about himself. He still tours, and is also an actor--he was pretty good in Ghost Doctor.

Oh yeah, covers are a big thing for younger idols. Many groups have done BTS covers now with, um, varying success. Perfect Man Jimin is legendary. I highly recommend his fancam from this.

y'all gotta also watch the "class idea" cover, it's so underrated but soooo good !! It's a Seo Taiji and The Boys' song (he's the father of kpop if you remember from rise of bangtan series) and bts actually performed that same song with him years later because he invited them to his concert. You saw a little bit of it in one of the ROB episodes but it would be fun to watch the whole thing.

When BTS does covers, they OWN it

So you noticed that they are 6 members in each cover. A little background. These covers are part of the year-end shows. During 2015 to 2017 year end shows, some members got injured that they weren't able to perform in year end shows. These are after MAMA and MMA. It si called Gayo Daejeon (Year End song Festivals from different broadcasting stations: KBS, SBS, MBC) Rainism - Yoongi got his ear injured As I told you - Yoongi was injured Perfect man - Namjoon got his legs injured Those were not major injuries but they were advised to rest by the doctors.. The first time they are completed during year end shows since 2014 was in 2018. Aside from the covers, they also do renditions of their song. For example, DNA Pedal Mix and Spring Day Brit rock remix in 2017 KBS Year End song Festival, Dope Jazz performance and the first time they showed Butterfly choeeo by Jimin, J-Hope and Jungkook in 2016 KBS Song Festival.

Also I think perfect man was modified a bit by bts the original doesn’t sound the same

BTS performed Perfect Man in 2015 and the other two covers in 2016. All are iconic K-pop songs, but BTS version of Perfect Man became even more popular than the original as can be seen from the combined streaming numbers. The MBC video alone has 158M views far exceeding the audio and video streams of Shinwas original. "As I Told You" was an homage to the groundbreaking Korean rapper and stile icon Kim Sung-jae who died in 1995 only 23 yo the night after his first live performance of the song. BTS recreated the performance including his stage outfit. Sorry for the long comment 😅

Y’all need to see JK on the Korean version of Masked Singer. He does a duet and then a solo. He’s still young (17-18) at the time and the songs are fantastic. Suga wasn’t in the last one bc he was recovering from having his appendectomy. In Perfect Man, Namjoon was missing bc he had been hospitalized as well. I think for surgery on a deviated septum.
