SlimeJiggler -- 0.2.5
This is a much smaller update than I had planned (too many non-gamedev responsibilities last month, hopefully the next month goes more smoothly!), but it's been long enough since the last build I thought I should share something. Since this is a small (and rough) update I probably won't post it on itch (the next itch build will be 0.3.0), but I will make it available to all paid tiers after 1 week (unless 0.3.0 is already ready by then).
The main update in this build is more sprites for all the existing slimes, and the addition of one new slime (teal). The distribution is pretty uneven, though, with Blue and Red having the majority of new content and the other colors just getting a few extras each. There are also still some missing and duplicate sprites which should be fixed in the next build, and the various masks which influence how they're rendered are super rough in this build.
My plan for the next actual release is a more even distribution of sprites for the slimes (although likely more difficult-to-mix colors will have extra sprites as a reward for figuring out how to unlock them, essentially my plan is to divide the slimes into tiers with primary colors being the easiest with the least sprites, colors like green which can be mixed in one step being the next tier with additional sprites, and so on), a quality pass on all masks to ensure consistent rendering for all sprites, and hopefully some additional colors to round out the selection and reduce cases where the nearest slime is a noticeably different color from the one you mixed (although that might get pushed to a future 0.4.0 release).
One other small change in this build is to how input is handled, so you can now press and drag on a slime in addition to clicking/tapping. In 0.3.0 I also plan to wire this up to the progression so you can make progress both by poking slimes and by rubbing them.
And one last announcement: in addition to this I have also started working on a sequel to Succubus Clicker! I had originally planned to make a poll to gauge interest first, but frankly the stats on views & downloads for Succubus Clicker compared to all the other projects combined so far are not even close XD
So keep an eye out for an announcement on that front later this month, too :)
