GameNative Dual-Screen TEST: Virtual Keyboard & Touchpad
I’m sharing a TEST build of GameNative focused on experimenting with dual-screen input.
This version introduces an experimental virtual keyboard and touchpad designed specifically for dual-screen Android devices. The main goal right now is to test usability, input behavior, and stability before merging these changes into the main GameNative branch.

What’s Included in This Test
Virtual Keyboard
Intended to improve text input for games and system interactions.Virtual Touchpad
Mouse-like input using the secondary screen, useful for games or apps that expect pointer input.Hybrid Mode (Keyboard + Touchpad)
Combines both approaches and is the most flexible option for most use cases.
How to Configure the External Screen
You can change how the external display behaves here:
Edit container → Controller → scroll to the bottom → External Display Input
From there, choose the mode you want for the secondary screen.
Recommended option:
Hybrid mode — it offers the best balance between keyboard input and touchpad control.
Important Notes
This is a TEST version.
Bugs, and incomplete behavior are expected.
Things may change based on feedback.
Once testing is done and things are stable, these features will be merged into the main GameNative project.
Feedback
If you test this build, please leave feedback in the comments:
How does the keyboard feel?
Is the touchpad responsive enough?
Suggestions or ideas to improve the experience
Your feedback here is extremely important and will directly shape how this feature evolves.
Thank you all for helping test and improve this experimental build.

Hi, this isn’t really related to this post but I was wondering if we will be able to put our own theme music in the iisu menu soon. My Thor should ship any day now and I’m trying to set up an asset folder to customize the menu/ backgrounds. I want to have the Frieren ost playing in the bg as I go through my game menus. Also I was wondering about the addition of the animated gifs that we can put on panels. I have a few of those I want to use too
Great idea, I will explore setting a custom BG!!!
Well, I certainly took my time testing this. I've been playing balatro and brutal orchestra on my Thor and honestly it works fantastic! No notes so far. The only thing I havent figure out so far is how to right click (I believe two finger tapping is hold and drag). Thanks for the amazing work! I didn't even think I wanted this to be a feature, pretty cool way to play mouse games.
Hi, I really like this, it is good progress. The only issue i can see is that the retroid dual screen get seen as the secondary screen where as it makes more sense to have that as a primary screen to have the same layout as the thor with controller and the second screen on the bottom. it make sense to be able to choose which screen in app it sees as the primary screen so for example i can have my device in the same layout as the thor. I have an odin 2 pro & Retroid dual screen which i can test anything give you any info on this you may need
You've got a point. An option to allow choosing a screen to display the game and the gamepad would be great! Thanks for the suggestion!
Nice Sapphire Thanks for all your work it helps us all out!
