Chapter 4 - Devlog #5

Hey there!

Another two weeks of working on renders and post-processing have come to an end.

At this point, I've finished roughly two thirds of the planned scenes, and I'm more than happy with how everything is turning out. Development is moving along steadily, and there isn't much else to add on that front for now other than that progress continues.

There is, however, one important change I'd like to talk about. It concerns my approach to sex scenes.

I've decided to change the system that both you and I have been used to since Instinct Unleashed and that partially carried over into Undawn.

Chapter 4 will contain four full sex scenes, and some of them will give you different options for how they end. For now, however, those choices will be purely cosmetic and won't have any pregnancy-related consequences.

In other words, if you don't want any of the girls to become pregnant, at least for now, you won't have to avoid certain options specifically because of that.

Later in the story, when the time is right, the game will directly ask you through a conversation with a certain character whether you want Rhiannon to have the possibility of having children and a family in the future. If you choose that path, similar decisions in future scenes will then be able to have actual consequences.

I understand that Niko's existence makes this system seem a little unusual. However, Niko has always been important to the story, and her existence was something that needed to happen regardless of this future mechanic. So I'd ask you to treat that as a small narrative exception.

I think this approach will give players more freedom while still allowing those who are interested in Rhiannon eventually having a family and children to make that a meaningful part of her story.
