Hello DeGrads alumni! Miriam McDonald and Stefan Brogren will be joining us for White Wedding Part 1! Who’s got Qs for the mailbag?

where do you think your characters would be now in 2026? Also, more specifically what is the Nelson/Simpson family up to?
I thought of another question 😬 again for both Stefan and Miriam. Stefan was there a character of the next generation that you saw yourself/character in? Same for Miriam, was there a character from the OG Degrassi cast that you saw yourself or character in?
My questions are both for Miriam and Stefan…if you hadn’t been on Degrassi, what direction do you think your life would have gone in, school or career wise? Is there any character(s) you wish you had gotten to work with that maybe didn’t or didn’t have much interactions with that your characters could have had storylines with, or storyline you wish your characters would have had? And off of that, is there a storyline looking back now that you wish you could redo/ have done differently? What did your family and friends think about you being on the show? Is there anything you learned at Degrassi that you use in real life today?
Miriam - are you team Sean or team Spinner as end game? Stefan - what was it like coming back and playing the teacher/adult? Did you see character choices from a different perspective? Question I've had for decades now: why did Emma not just get her hair wet to rinse out the perm... And why did Spike, the HAIRDRESSER not know to do that?? 💜💜😂
For Stefan Do you wish they would have said what happened to snakes older brother Not being involved with the wedding process him becoming a step uncle and uncle
Miriam do you think Emma would stay with spinner forever or find her way back to Sean?
Second this question or as the actress of Emma were your team spinner or Sean?
Stefan, do you know if Emma's hair is a nod to Simon's wedding perm in Schools Out?
I'll never unsee this now!!
What was miriam's thoughts on her hair especially during the white wedding? 🇨🇦🙂
You guys are the BEST for putting this here! I feel so seen lol For Stefan, when Degrassi High finished - did you have a vision for where Snake would have gone and was it anywhere close to where he ended? Did you ever expect that you'd be able to play him again?
On the DVD commentary for his guest starring episodes in season four, Kevin Smith said that he had preliminary talks about directing these episodes as a feature film when the show first returned but wasn't able to as the director needed to be Canadian. He mentioned the original idea for the wedding storyline was much different - did either of them ever see the original script? Was Stefan surprised that Snake / Spike were paired together and eventually married after having only had one date in Degrassi High, as opposed to Joey and Caitlin who were arguably one of the biggest "ships" from the original run? What was it like for Miriam, being one of the only characters to work with both the new and OG characters? Did she go back and watch the original show for context in these episodes? Why wasn't Snake's gay brother at his wedding? (Kidding, kind of) but was there talk of having more cameos from Junior High and High characters at the wedding or bachelor party? It seems like this is where the Joey/Caitlin reconciliation kicks off - did Stefan or the writers know she would return for season three as a regular? For Miriam: a recurring theme with Emma's character throughout the series is her intense desire to control everything (personally I think it's a manifestation of undiagnosed anxiety/PTSD from her SA in the pilot) which often leads to her "butting in" to other people's business. Were there times where you disagreed with what she was doing and what was it like portraying someone so nuanced? For Miriam: by this time, you had been the "lead" of the show for two years (acting is the tie in between generations). How did your life change as the show grew in popularity? And for Stefan, did you have any advice for the new generation on how to navigate that?
I have a question for Miriam, is there anything written for Emma that you would have rather been done differently?
2 part q for stefan- in degrassi high when you were the one to find claude during (a episode about suicide) how did you prepare yourself for that scene? If you could have edited any of your story lines which one would it be and why? Also as a director now is there something you would have done differently? For miriam- what was the audition process like? Where do you think emma is now? Everyone-is therean issue you wish degrassi tackled that they didnt get too? What is it? Also would like to thank all of you as some of the storylines got me through my own challanges
Only because I watched degrassi jr high and high at like 9yo in secret because I felt my dad wouldnt allow it does Stefan find it strange how quick he and spike got in a relationship since the only ever reaction was when he ended getting out of the date with spike for Melanie. Spike did have a daydream episode of her and snake though.
