Yeah I wouldn't be too happy about this as a finale if it were actually the finale, luckily it isn't. As cliché as "enjoy the detours" is, remember that the entire Chimera Ant arc was a side quest for Gon. I think that Gings reunion with Gon being underwhelming is a cool writing decision; the series spends 140+ episodes building him up as this mysterious, almost mythical figure, but when Gon finally meets him, he's just a chill guy. Ultimately, the act of looking for Ging was far more substantial to Gon than actually meeting him.

only you know what you wanted to ear to understand ging and not hate him, but the bro was seeking things that can be considered like conspiracy theories ,creating a simulation of the world within the world, going outside the known world, you really think he had time to change diappers ? be real, bro is busy and live the life, waiting to get in front of it to trust it because it's what he likes and thrive for. also he just left his freaking Hunter certification away so imagine that he was societally nerfed, the finale of the anime from now just say " you just watched a tutorial and finished it wp , world is more vast than you can imagine and if you liked chimera ants, they where from this vastness " , in a way you're happy for killua to get a friendo and creating a great relationship but when its ging you just hate, gon mentally could have done what ging did in a way, they seem more similar and maybe that's why you hate him like you hated gon at the begining, just need to open your third eye bruda this said, exept the slow pacing you created from the start of chimera arc it was great to watch with you and hope you liked it more that what you try to explain by "liking it but not much" because it seems when you ddon't like something you just become stubborn about it 😂

Yeah if you look at it as a finale it feels underwhelming but its not a finale we just gotta wait god knows how long before more gets animated... And even though in the manga the current arcs going great, its far from reaching the peak moments of the series let alone coming to an end, i just prey togashi gets to finish the manga cuz ik for a fact whatever hes cooking gonna be insane, we know what hes capable of and im guessing he is working really hard to come up with a great ending for everything he has been building up so far and thats why its taking him so long other than his health issues

As far as Ging becoming a hunter, he did it at 12, years before Gon was born. Continuing to be a hunter was why he left😂 Also, on the rating at the end, I think this one will be the reverse, I believe on a rewatch the rating will climb versus hype dying down.
