In Regards To Moving Some Of My Mods Off Of NexusMods
Summary: I am starting to migrate some of my mods (that people have added to pornographic collections) over to this Patreon. As long as NexusMods is going to require me to advertise these collections on my mod pages, I no longer want to have them visible there. Long version:
Semi-recently, NexusMods rolled out their new "Collections on Mod Pages" feature. It adds a widget on all mod pages that shows which collections a mod has been featured in, if any.
There are several issues with this approach, but my main concern is this: Anyone can create a collection, name it whatever they want, add my mod to it, and then have their collection shown front-and-center on my page. I don't have the option to hide this widget, choose which collections are shown by default, or even set it to be a collapsible tab so it's less visually intrusive. (edit 11/30: Nexus has since moved the collection feature to a collapsible tab, but I still cannot hide it or choose which collections are shown.)
This forces me to advertise collections named/described things like "naughty", "lewd", "NSFW power fantasy", and so on, on my SFW mod pages. Unsurprisingly, I really don't like this!

However, after reading the thread, which is full of people who agree with me, it seems that NexusMods considers me and others with my view to be the minority, and making changes to their Collections on Mod Pages feature is going to happen slowly, if ever.
I'm not sending any hate to the community managers, btw. They are just doing their job. Unfortunately, this new feature makes NexusMods money, so the ones in power have very little incentive to change it, unless they decide that keeping it is going to be less profitable than changing it.
This is also not a profitable decision for me, because unless generous souls decide to subscribe to my Patreon, I don't make any money off of having my mods here. However, I'm fortunate to not be in a situation where I rely on NexusMods income to live. It's nice, but I don't need it. Not everyone has that luxury.
So tl;dr: I'm hiding some of my mods from NexusMods, and may end up deleting them entirely, due to NexusMods' extremely bothersome new feature. NexusMods seems to think that most people like this feature. I don't know if they're right, but if they're not, they need to hear it.

Hello! i came here for the 'Astarion patch 7 kisses'. I wanted to thank you for making this mod! I found the 'collections feature very predatory to mod authors. I'm sorry you had to move some of your mods.
I just want to say I totally understand why that feature would make you uncomfortable. I appreciate you and your mods. I've used a few of your mods, in particular the astarion patch 6 revert one (which I see no one could behave in the comments for rip) so i appreciate being able to access them here. I love your mods and i completely understand why you'd do this but i was wondering if you'll be putting up the catbugs mod? c: i accidentally deleted it from my modpack and now i cant enter my save because i used the race for my guardian TT

I completely ignore collections, I want to decide for myself, what I install or not. And to have you advertise pornographic stuff is just beyond shitty. You should be able to decide, where you want your mods to be included. Like, get a notification, if someone wants to add your mod to their collection and you can sayyes o no to that
Completely understand that you've been taking your mods off of Nexus (the collections change is terrible, especially when you don't even have the option to opt out of being included). I was wondering whether you'd look at posting any of the hair mods that you hid/removed? I adored using them on my Tav's and would really like to have them in my playthroughs again now that Patch8 has been released.

I came here from Nexusmods after noticing Shadowheart Takes Her Hair Down At Night was removed. Thank you for continuing to provide updates even if it's no longer there. It's going to be a bit awkward and inconvenient to leave feedback in case there's technical issues, but overall, I respect your decision to migrate your mod here.

I'm sorry that you were forced to take this step. Nexus used to be a great place to share mods and exchange ideas about modding. But the collections and everything that came with them were one of the reasons why I removed my mods from the platform years ago. I think you made the right decision! Best regards Risi
