"I like turdles!"
Wholesome suggestion anonymous, I like it.
This could be an entire story unto itself. The different species of Mekkan are largely separated from and prejudiced against each other, but here they're growing up together as family. There's lots to explore with how they interact with each other and the rest of the world.
i'm sure they would see eachother as eguals as they grow up together and likely have relationships together like interracially i wouldn't mind having a relationship with a keidran or a basiting if i were living in their world
Turns out the Templar running the place is Remi's aunt in human form who started the place because she fell for a Kierdan and this was his dream.
This deserves color.
it certainly does and i do hope it gets coloured
This is incredibly heartwarming!
Do they house young dragons?
Young dragons may take on the form of other creatures as they learn and grow. Perhaps today, a turtle?
I know that the sketches aren't meant to be canon, but am I the only one imagining an orphanage like this in Lyn'knoll? It could even be good story piece for a lot of the characters, given that most of them either were orphans or completely disconnected from their parents.
Wholesome sketch + turtle = perfection
This .. is lovely
Turtle.
Humans/Keidran : "Awww, so wholesome!" Bastian: "WHAT IS THIS CHILD PORNOGRAPHY DOING HERE?! WHERE ARE THE ANKLE COVERS?!"
Lol
The big question this one raises is how that basitin got there. An orphan on the mainland means he's either an exile himself or the child of an exile (either two exiled together or the mother exiled while pregnant) either way there's a story there. Possibly a multi parter.
Adorable, Tom! So refreshing to see a totally original sketch suggestion get voted in. I'd love to know this lady's backstory and see more of life around her orphanage. Keep up the great work! Congrats, Mr./Ms. Anonymous!
Smol Brutus: "Ya sure leavin' like this is the right idea, Boss? I mean, that lady was really nice, offerin' to let us stay in her big house for free and all. And the other kids seemed awful... happy." Lil Clovis: "Of course they did, you dolt. They were BRAINWASHED! Which is exactly what would have happened to us if we had stuck around that place a second longer; listening to that woman spout more inane drivel about peace, love, and kindness. Bleck!!" Smol Brutus: "Aww... I kinda liked her stories. Especially the one about the greedy ol' dragon that learned to share." Lil Clovis: "I actually liked that one, too. It was long and pointless. Which gave me plenty of time to go find THIS!" *Produces large bag of coins.* Smol Brutus: *Gasp!* "Boss! You... stole from that nice lady?" Lil Clovis: "Nah! I just gave her an opportunity to... share." Smol Brutus: "B-But, Boss..." Lil Clovis: "You worry too much, Brutus. Those losers would have just held us back, anyway. We don't need them! You'll see. With my brains, your brawn, and this bag of coin, the two of us are going to be just-" *Cut to Brutus and Clovis sitting in an alleyway under a ratty burlap cloth in the pouring rain.* Lil Clovis: "...Fine."
Cute story! And that "Smol" and "lil", it's great!
To open an orphanage for all species is incredible.
It's so adorable!
"Look! A Shuckle!" "I think that's just a turtle." "I'm calling him Blue Shell!"
This turned out very cute. Childlike innocence far away from war and species related prejudices; here the world is still in order.
Absurdly wholesome.
Seems like a great place for the kids. Great view of the golden gate bridge too.
I’m guessing it’s a magic tower on a hill, similar to the one that was being built on Basitin Island. But hopefully for less insidious purposes. Or it’s just a lighthouse.
Like the others have said, this sketch is just wholesome and cute. I also like the fact that the kids are the same species as the main cast: Human, Tiger, Basitin and Wolf. Overall a nice drawing, great job Tom.
All I can think of is how many stories start with a place like this being raised to the ground and destroyed and the young ones have to go on an epic journey to rescue their kidnapped brethren...Adventure!
Except for the game "MS Saga" where the orphanage the first two main characters stayed at was destroyed and burned to the ground and by a Zeonic mobile suit squad and the two kids swore vengeance for the beloved orphanage owner after she was killed in the attack.
I'd like to think that another reason why there aren't too many "good" templar left, since most were purged by Trace, is because a few of them sincerely believed in coexistence and harmony between species, left in disgust over the hardline racism the organization was developing (which I imagine Mary had her hands full with trying to suppress before she was overthrown), and started projects like these.
i'd love to coexist with them and see them as eguals and i'd love to help any orphanage as i can like helping them delivering the items or food they've ordered and i'd also happily help them clean the place up and cook with them as i believe i'm a decent cook
Awww
I really like this one. So heart warming and wholesome. I wish we can see more about this one and understand the story behind it. Also, the turtle looks really adorable.
looks like to be a great place i'd be happy to help the orphanage as best as i can the best i could probably do is do delivery to them with what they've ordered or order what they want
I'm good carpenter so I can provide furnitures
"...a good time was had by all, and they lived happily ever after." "...except for the turtle." "theee. END."
I don't know, the turtle looks happy
We need a name for this person. So we can request more of them.
Hermione Derilsa. The name which showed in my head
Awesome and wholesome
This needs to be a canon location. Perhaps a side-story source?
Maybe some Templar Tower was changed into orphanage?
This is so cute and wholesome.
This is wholesome
