This picture is painfully platonic, it's like they aren't even in the same place. Looks like two separate portraits photoshopped together. It's a beautiful piece nonetheless, but the intent behind the suggestion was lost in creation.

When I saw the title, I legit thought someone Nora carded (for some reason despite my having colored it) “Sketchithon #07”, the subject matter having been named by the fanbase as “Aurora” Kat: “This is so beautiful!” Zen (thinking): “Beautiful… that’s a word in human I do recognize.” (Aloud): <“It really is… Just like you are Kat.”> Kat: *Blushes* <“Thank you Zen. I’m just glad to have finally found love… Love in you.”> <“Have I ever told you exactly what happened when we first met, why normally I don’t wear anything, but did when you woke up?”> Zen: <“No… come to think of it, I never could figure that out.”> Kat: <“Well… after Natani, Keith, and Raine brought you in, I wanted to figure out what was going on so I came into the room…” (those who’ve read the comic know the rest, if not haven’t, read <a href="http://twokinds.keenspot.com/comic/1025/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">page 1025</a>) Meanwhile, Well Beyond the Horizon: the events of “<a href="https://www.patreon.com/posts/13594522">Sketchithon #07 (colored)</a>” are still unfolding. Your cousins are coming over!” Aurora: “Really! I thought that Keitha and Nataniel were journeying Mekkan with their mom and dad?” Trace: “They were, but I just finished talking to them through the Gate-Phone and They’re going to take the Gate-Key Network back in about 30 minutes.” Rose: “We could really use your help getting the manor ready kiddo” Aury: “Of course I’ll help Auntie Rose! I love it when you tell stories of hanging out with Lady Saria when we work!” *Tosses one fireballs over her shoulders, and dropped the other, causing two more brush fires, then shrinks down to normal size* Trace: “Phew! Fire Chief Sah-van! We need you, stat!” Meanwhile, Back on the other side of the horizon: Kat: <“Awww! The Aurora stopped!”> Zen: <“And so suddenly too.”> *Looks into Kats eyes* *They both fall into “Le’Mood” ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) * Both: *Intimate Romantic Nuzzling Begins*

Oh, this is the beginning of one of those scenes. I’m inspired, let me write something: ... It was beautiful tonight. The cool air was chilled my fur but I was warm under my attire and from the heat radiating from the individual leaning against me. She was also gazing into the illuminated night sky. Earlier, I tried to teach her how to howl, and while that didn’t end as a success I want to think that we bonded a bit. “Zen? What do you think?” She was looking at me. I had been staring at her for some time, at the subtle curves of her face, at the gentle movement of her hair when disturbed by the soft caress of the cold gentle breeze. She was smiling at me, waiting for my reply, while I stared at her eyes. They were gorgeously luminous in the dim, beautiful and pure, filled with a seductive hunger for wonder. Did she know that her eyes were that way, I wonder? “Zen? Do you think they look pretty?” She asked again. “Yeah, Kat.” I reply. She giggles and returns her gaze to the sky. My eyes return to the sky. “They look beautiful.” I don’t think she understood what I meant. Maybe I wasn’t sure what I meant, but I was definitely sure of something, at least this one thing: Yes. She was beautiful tonight.

It is so cute how content they are but I hope this remains non-canon.
