Honestly, for me the drawing in the last frame is possibly the second best part (the first being, of course, the lick). But the kick to his gut is a typically animal thing in the drawing: The bunny-kick with the hind legs to defend the belly and chest. While they are more than animals, it's still fun to imagine this as a "call back" to an earlier evolutionary time for them. XD
