Wasn't there some sort of foreshadowing at some point that Nibbly was actually some kind of dragon in hiding? Amazing the beans didn't spill if it was at all true
We see a giant sized shadow while she is defending Sythe from a couple of Clovis' goons. No wings though. One friend of mine thinks she is an Asian type dragon in hiding.
This was a fun ride, even the second time around! The color has been a treat!
Let's say this isn't illusion magic (sensory extension), and instead it's an actual morph. I can see Trace making a collar that makes you anatomically correct Keidrian. Then... Nibbly was given high thought and emotions for at least 12hrs just to have it ripped... Or kept
it's probably the same 'flawed transformation" spell that Rose tried to use to sneak into the human lands, and which Trace used to curse Raine's mother when he took over as high templar. perhaps with the intent for the collar to bypass the usual duration limit.
