I hear you! I love a very rare cooked steak, but as you said, too many risks are involved, and I almost died from food poisoning once. A week recovering in the hospital is not as fun as it sounds!😁

To be entirely fair, the only real reason humans don't eat raw meat is because we know it can carry diseases or parasites, it's not like we're physically incapable of it, just prefer not to due to knowledge of the risks
Isn't it more like there's simply 0 reason for us to eat it raw? We can cook it...which makes meat just...better. Sure it tastes better as well but that's probably just due to out evolution with cooked meat. If we never started to cook, our stomachs would probably be at least a bit more resistant to raw meat shenanigans today...as many animals are. But again, no reason not to cook it.

Careful inspection and care in raising the animals can reduce the risk considerably.

I loved raw meat and eggs as a kid, so I would be fine with this. Also there are plenty of roasts that are almost raw in the center.
Most carnivore's diet style is gorge/starve in the wild. So it makes sense Reed overindulged.
This was not my reaction to steak tartare, but then I wasn't a cat at the time.
I have tried raw meat a couple times. It lacks the typical flavor one associates with meat and is actually quite bland.
I love how accurate this is. It's a fact that's almost ALWAYS forgotten, unknown, or ignored for transformation situations. Different taste buds, different protein receptors, different tastes.

I'm not so sure. My cats try to steal and eat everything I eat, regardless of what it is. ^^ I guess humans and felines have the same taste buds. XD

I don't know what kind of meat she's eating, but I personally enjoy raw steak, just warmed to slightly above room temperature.

Try a "mettbrötchen" in germany. Minced meat with onion, salt and pepper on a bun. Raw. For people who doubt it: there are between 0 and 4 cases of trichinellosis per year in germany. Mostly after a travel outside of europe. And for self service: sorry no picture post possible. Just type "Mettigel" and look for pictures.

Steak tartar is raw steak on a platter too so not that alien to humans actually
Granted, I've been asked in restaurants before if I know what I'm ordering when I'm ordering steak tartar - and while I do like raw beef and raw salmon in specific forms, I know plenty of people who gag at any kind of raw meat/fish products.
The question is, will her stomach handle it. Major dietary change.
