Maybe some things are fated to be. Keith is introduced to Natani's parents, in a universe where they're still alive, suggested by Sura-Resch! Sequel to: AU - Nayana and Koan Live
How could something like this happen? I imagine instead of drifting into fox territory post-banishment, Keith traveled slightly farther north into wolf territory instead. In exchange for nursing him back to health, Natani recruits Keith to "pretend" they're now mates, just to get the family to stop nagging about it. Yep, just pretend, certainly nothing else will come of it.

Keith being too scrawny for Natani to both parents (albeit for different reasons) is such a delight. Don't kill the Cabbit youngling, he just might help you find some cousins in the near future... 😅

Oh, What an "INTERESTING" idea I just had... Keith with BOTH Laura and Natani, meeting all three sets of parents... Keith's, Laura's AND Natani's parents... In the same place, at the same time...
Typical mom. And dad too. Some things all in Keiths position need to stand.
I'd like to think Zens son there saying he's going to bite Keith is actually his way of accepting him into the family.

Once again, this AU hits hard. Despite its intended comedy, the real world implications are all too relatable. Natani is using Keith as his beard so he can straight pass and avoid coming out to his parents as Transmasc. Of course, the silver lining here is that they still fall in love no matter what universe they’re in, and Natani eventually gets to be as much a trans male here as he’s progressing in the main comic.

Interesting, I didn't notice before that Natani is pretty obviously still binding in this AU. IIRC, this is Youngtani grown up - because their parents survived, Zen and Natani never fell in with the assassins and thus never went after the wizard that damaged Natani's soul. Which means no mental link and no Zen-induced gender-confusion. Kind of puts paid to the idea that Natani wasn't at least gender-fluid even before the link. And he still clearly has an issue with acknowledging his attraction to Keith. XD
It's been straight up stated that the whole Soul thing and mind link had no impact on Nat's gender.
Now we need Natani's mom and Flora's mom talking like "Some bunny cat thing! I dont think they can have kids!" "Youre telling me; mine is with a the Grand Templar!"
Nat's mother is a simple wolf with simple priorities. Respect.

Basitins are naturally super strong and sturdy, so I think Keith won't take long to dispel any comments about his supposed weakness! 😃

The child wanting to bite him is the funniest part of this to me. All around it's great, but that kid is awesome. Might make a D&D character based on that one.
I'd like to think this AU still has the bit where Keith stabs Zen from behind that one time. I don't know how it would work out though.
