Many years in the past, Reni's grandmother escapes old Morlin castle to have a secret hilltop rendezvous with her dragon protector. Easy to get away when one is able to fly. Though if the other dragons knew he let a human put a saddle on him, he'd never hear the end of it. Reni's family was mentioned on Page 1015. For Narikusha!

The dragon would eventually be seen wearing the saddle, but he was able to spin it as the 'hot new thing' in fashion. Before long, the vast majority of dragonkind had been fitted for their own, and if any of them were seen with humans, well...that was their business.
Arya! Her name should be Arya after the Princess Dragon Rider from The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini!
And the dragon should be named Gorbash after the dragon in the film “Flight of Dragons” (based loosely on the book “Dragon and the George”)
