Seems not being able to use magic doesn't stop an intelligent Basitin from learning the principles of it and teaching others how to apply them.

It was said during my days in the Fire and Life Sciences Academy (FDNY'S training academy, EMS operations side) 'Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.' Of course they were referring to instructors who (after years of service and often injury or illness) could no longer withstand the rigors of street operations but still hd an incredible wealth of knowledge to be shared with the probies!! P.S.‐ I HATE AUTO MISSPELL!

Makes me wonder if there are any magic-like effects that a basitin would be a le to do; stuff like alchemy, or divination
Tis a thought, but iirc we've seen magic needs to be used with control, or it starts to control the user. I might be wrong but that seems to be what mucks up non-western Basitins.

Well, by that definition he could also teach SexEd.
i'd happily be taught by a basitin on how magic works no matter how well a basitin can use magic atleast they can teach how magic is supposed to work without showing it while a keidran or a human can teach me practical magic
