I'd love for you to do Dancer in the Dark in like a, "I would like for people to suffer in the same way I did" kind of way. (Great music tho)
I'm going to risk the wrath of some god with this but... If we're being fair and comparing each song's strengths then this is actually Madonna vs JJ & TL (for this you can blame their heavy handed production style). But a slightly bigger issue is Rhythm Nation's message rings hollow compared to Vogue which on so many levels actually achieves what Janet preaches.

there was a guy on reddit who supposedly got one of the ohw requests and said what song he chose -- i won't spoil the specific track in case people want to be surprised, but it is a 2007 tune which could possibly qualify for this ? that said, my first instinct was smth from the 2010s, in which case ,,,, icona pop ? gotye ? of monsters and men ? ylvis ??
here's an odd factoid for you: because of that one hit, of monsters and men are the only icelandic artist to reach the top 20 on the hot 100. (i kinda wish they'd had another hit, because i love little talks...but it is very much a "fluke indie hit" song, so i'm not at all surprised that they only had one)

Gotta be Rhythm Nation by a hair. The vid is just too iconic and shows so much talent, even more so than Madonnas. I know it should be about the song only but the vids n songs are inextricably linked.
