Sadie Gets a Life 0.2.2 Dev Log, 2025-09-18

We have a wrap on the 0.2.1 release. A couple of small bugfixes will make their way into 0.2.2, but there's nothing game-breaking (that I've learned about at least!), so no emergency patch this time.

Now on to some of what to expect with the 0.2.2 release. I have this release pretty well planned out and it should include a few hours of content, just like the past two. The centerpiece of this release is our first proper dungeon. So far, Sadie's mostly avoided these things. That said, she has found her way into caverns and wells, so it was only a matter of time. You'll join Jericross from the Isekai Order and recover the Sword of Legendary Expectations, a right heroic task that.

In addition, the main quest continues with some Den of Thieves activity, and Sadie has several other tasks open up to her.

There are a few fixes and modifications forthcoming in the 0.2.2 release. The biggest one is that Sadie's Lust Withdrawal effect is permanent until she fixes the issue in the Crusty Nugget Inn. This point ties in with a question I've received a fair bit: can you go through the entire game with Sadie as a lesbian?

My hem-and-haw answer is as follows: as of right now, yes. There's only one mandatory scene so far in the game, and it's between Ellanon and Sadie. But canonically, Sadie is not a lesbian--she was not one as a human and is not one as a succubus (though as a succubus, she's enjoying the feminine wiles in a way she never did before, especially if you pick up a certain debonaire kitsune). As of right now, I don't have any mandatory male-female scenes involving Sadie or anyone else, so you can get through the content without scenes including males, but that route does miss out on a lot of content. Also, I make no promises that this will always be the case--if there is a plot-necessary reason for Sadie to be involved in a boy-girl scene, she will be.

The official stance on sex scenes in this game is that, whenever it is possible and it makes sense for the plot, any scenes should be optional. But I'm also not going to skirt around a boy-girl scene with Sadie in an attempt to create a lesbian-only route. I understand that there will be some people who dislike this and will not want to play the game as a result, and that's ultimately fine. My goal as the developer is to be clear about what kind of content you can expect from the game, so you get the best understanding going in as to whether it will be up your alley or not. I hope that it is, especially if you're reading this, but you're the arbiter of what you like, not me.

Even though my backlog is pretty full for the next few releases, I can always sneak in quality of life improvements or game tweaks, as well as take feedback on the types of scenes or events you might like to see. There's a lot planned out, but plenty of gaps in the grand outline that can fit interesting ideas.
