Recap: May 2026
We took some time to get our marketing together. Gnomes are on the way, and the Client Tastes Update is cooking.
🧱 Core
Preparing marketing materials and the latest [v0.2.3] update ate about half of this month.
As for the v0.2.3, I ended up replacing the planned animation breaks with a different feature: characters can now change skin multiple times during an interaction. So far, this is only used by our succugirls in the bath.
The rest of the month went into R&D for the future layer systems. After enough testing, I settled on a solution and started gradually bringing it to life.
🎨 Models & Art
About half of our efforts here also went into R&D, mostly for marketing. We tested different ways to render our content - in-engine, Marmoset, and Unreal. Unfortunately, each option comes with its own tradeoffs.
And the gnomes' meshes are now finalised.
Aand we are working on UI redesign.
Aaand we decided that our bed deserves some character development.
Aaaaand lastly, we gave our Steam page a bit of a facelift.
🏃♂️ Animation
Succugirls can now relax in the company of mermaids.
And our gnomes are now at their final animation. I'll post a full showcase later this month, and all the raw WIPs will go into our "absolutely-easy-to-join-just-don't-forget-to-link-your-Discord-to-Patreon-to-get-the-special-role-with-access" Discord channel. " Psst, siriously, come join - Patreon simply won't let me dump all the videos here.
🔮 What’s Next (June)
I'm pretty confident that I'll finish the work on the layer systems in June, but the update itself is bigger than just that.
We still need to:
do all the UI work - both the new elements and the redesign
do some basic balancing, so the new update feels at least somewhat good
likely give a bit more time for our new Gnomes client
and maybe bring the sofa back into business
It would be very optimistic to say that all of this will be finished in June - but there is a small chance. We'll see.
This update may not feel like a dramatic gameplay change, but it lays the groundwork for one that will. And with your support, we feel like we can go for it. So thank you once again! Your help keeps us pushing toward bigger things ❤️
