From Queensland here. Can you look into why the liberal government has removed city safe. My experience with it is from hospitality and security. When incidents occur, there was a channel set up on all our radios to contact city safe directly where there was a police officer that would answer us immediately. That channel has been recently removed, when we copy that channel no one answers. Now we have to call 000, and that takes a lot longer and often we're unable to do until after the fact.

Probably comes under "screw the Greens" but there can never be too much ritual humiliation of Max Wanker-Hyphen and his post-election tantrum. More schadenfreude! More! I actually feel for my Greens-voting friends, since I was conned by them once. Promising things they could never deliver even if they formed majority government because they're either 1) empty grandiose feelgood promises no federal govt can fulfil because of a little piece of legislation called the Constitution; 2) claims they can fix things overseas that they have no power to affect or control (I mean, what were they going to do re Palestine, troop over to Tel Aviv and wag their fingers saying "sooo, Bibi, it would be like super rad if you could like stop killing people because it's lowkey problematic"?) 3) impractical due to cost, resources - lack of sufficient dentists for example. The Greens who've been in Parliament for years must know this. But they do it anyway because they want cudgels to beat Labor with - "see, it’s Albo being a big selfish meanie, not because the Aus govt literally can't sprinkle fairy dust and give everyone superpowers". Shits me to tears.

Living in country Victoria right now, I get the distinct impression Labor are completely *fucked* because of the Fire Levy hike they're trying to legislate.
In country vic there are a few seats that only the nationals will get in or maybe an independent for a term. In those areas it would not matter what labour did they won't turn to labour. Also those same area's complain about a lack of govt funding for developing the area but won't vote in ways to encourage it, the nationals know they are very safe seats so they don't politic for additional development funding when they are in power. He'll I had one farmer complain to me that the road to his house was meant to be sealed but was cancelled when whitlam was voted in and he has complained about his road ever since cause it should of been sealed. They just go silent when you then go well why didn't the next lib/nat govt do it then. Unfortunately if your in those seats just talk to people and you might be able to convince them that voting labour is the way and that there senate vote is how they can effect change. Things country vic will complain about is, high voltage power lines, wind farms, rare earth mines, fire levy, any spending in melbourne

This was honestly really really hard to choose. Spiritually I want three hours of laughing at Bandt, intellectually, we gotta bring people who vote Greens back into the fold. (I'm currently on my way to Sarah Witty's win party though so I'm sure I'll get all the laughing out of my system tonight)
