I would love to see a video explaining why Labor decided to grant an extension to Woodside gas. A lot of environmentalists are up in arms about it but I understand that there is a predicted energy shortage and a need to provide certainty to investors to secure manufacturing in green energy sector.

I
Ivan Fernando Zapata Vargas · June 10, 2025

Definitely think a video into the Woodside gas extension is important. I feel a lot of Labor voters will be feeling down about this decision given the massive win in the election and a clear rejection of climate denial politics. Was this expansion really necessary and how can we argue this point because the media are not letting up on it.

An expose on how the Australian automotive industry is working on white anting the NVES and stopping EV sales in Australia, by scaring consumers from buying EVs in the basis that they cannot be serviced and that the insurance premiums will be too high because there are no trained mechanics. Evangelicals: smash'em bro! I mean, conservative groups from the Australian Christian Right that actively engage in lobbying, seeking to influence political power to advance their business or organizational interests. You know, troops like the ACL, the NSW Reformers, or meadow muffins like the Lyons Forum and the Family First Party... Essentially aping the Yank manual: funnelling big bikkies from property developers, foraging and rustling up them dollarbucks for branch {swinging} stacking, gifting fat dollarydoos to senior political figures, and {simian} similar monkey business.

Most Aussie PMs since John Howard have worn glasses a lot. Albo, Scomo, Malcolm Turnbull (sometimes), Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard (sometimes), John Howard - then before that hardly anyone (in their main online photos). Peter Dutton (the opposition leader) also wears glasses (maybe partly to hide his lack of eyebrows). [then there's David Littleproud] I don't think any recent US presidents wore glasses in public much. Though Bernie Sanders wears glasses. Is the reason to do with the personality it implies? Why do you think it is common to elect Australians with glasses but not in the US?

Niche topic, but it might make for a refreshing segue and keep the idle hands (devils plaything) of the research team at work: Australian modified car enthusiasts getting absolutely smoked by police bureaucracy and the discretionary power of the officer of the day, even when they follow every rule under the sun. - Video talking about the state/territory politics (like what the hell is happening in the Northern Territory). - Early history of the labour movement in Australia, A.K.A. any history from before Bob Hawke. - Talking about the electric car, it is becoming a big topic for the common-sense crowd & it’s started bleeding votes from Labor now. - Talking more about the new media on YouTube & more specifically the nutter/cook-in-the-head folks. (Because it’s bleeding votes from Labor) - Going back to making fun & pointing out the lunacy of old media. - How do we individually make Australia GREAT AGAIN, practically? (The edit was to put all my ideas in one spot without spamming the comments.)

I'd love to know what the ALP are actually up to in Victoria. The positive and the negative. I'd hate for them to be voted out but no-one seems to have anything good to say about them these days. I'm hoping some of the kudos from Fed Labor will rub off but I'm worried.

M
Mark Lyons · May 12, 2025

A lot of the problems I see with vic is simply it has not had a liberal shitshow for 10+ years so everyone has forgotten how bad that was. But the liberals are such a shitshow in vic now they are un electricable due to the nutter church's infiltrating the liberal party with branch stacking. As to why no one thinks labour is doing what they want, all the infrastructure projects going have not completed so people just see delays and traffic congestion, and Murdoch saying the state is broke and not realising that the productivity gains from these projects will pay for them selfs in growth.

J
Jocelyn Wheatley · May 12, 2025

Looking at the senate results, a potential outcome is that Labor has the option of not only negotiating with the LNP and the greens to pass legislation, but a third option could open up, that of negotiating with the remainder of the crossbench. This would likely require the entire crossbench, including 1-2 One Nation senators. Should Labor seek to engage the crossbench, including PHON, and how should they go about doing so?

Since we have won the election, would be funny to see you react to some of the greens social media influencer voters political takes or reaction to the election. Also keeping up with what’s happening with the liberal party/national party leaders debacle

And Election Results Reaction would be fun, yeah. Really digging into the speeches and press releases of the key opposition and greens figures who were ousted would be fun, with the core message reinforcing why the centre ultimately should win in politics.
