Well put.My Dad and his Dad worked on the waterfront.With what they had to put up with management not treating workers right and a lot of accidents/fatalities.Mind you ,there was some struggling workers out there that were intimidated and also bashed by the more thuggish elements of that union.Not because of scab like behaviour,but getting their hours fleeced to benefit them.I’ve been members of AMWU,AWU and the PKIU.I will always be an advocate for unions.Gives you a voice to not only keep your workplace safer,but enjoying Keating’s legacy to negotiate a EA agreement.The Patricks dispute through the Howard years was a defining moment across all industries and union members.(Thanks Greg Combet 🤘).We all need to know the values these organisations have,but we need to keep this going in the right way to grow so the next generation of members can evolve with the times.Go the DSFWU,The Dead Shit Factory Workers Union.
I've never seen anything more typical of the ABC.On the ABC website it has the news that Gladys Berejiklian's appeal against her corruption findings have been dismissed.The ABC can't just report that,the byline has the quote "I always worked my hardest" so she is still corrupt but the ABC still insist on making her sound heroic.What a pack of arseholes.
Let's be real here. For the longest time Jordan was as one sided as the guardian and newscorp. But I do feel as much as he makes fun of the criticism he has taken it on board. This is coming from a guy who pays to support Jordan's journalism, even if I don't always agree with it.
Jordan hasn't changed his bias. It has been clear from the start, and that's a good thing. You don't need Jordan to be unbiased the mainstream media has the other bias no one else is pro Labor even independents are anti Labor, some reminiscing to Whitlam era without the acceptance that the general public wouldn't vote for those policies today because they wouldn't understand them, thanks to the media.
