Just the way hunter said “daddy gives it this toxic sludge and says its its grow grow juice” from what he said and the way he said it, it makes it seem like he’s speaking from the perspective of a child pretty obvious with the voice and the word “daddy” being used supports this statement. And the usage of the word “it” really points me to believe that the kid is talking about some kind of snake, gecko, a lizard of some kind that is regularly under 8-9 inches, pointing me to something like a leopard or crested gecko. Especially because hunter is not to fond of reptiles it could make sense for his reaction. But I will say, something like a guinea pig, mouse, or rat is totally possible and could make sense using the same evidence provided. I do really like chilis.
