Some of us need to go back and watch the very first post on Patreon - you’re welcome to feel differently - but I always interpreted this subscription as “something extra” and a post “goal” as both hosts said.

I love this podcast, it's been a huge comfort to me over this last year, so I'm very appreciative of the patreon and everyone that works on the show. If there's periods in the future where you guys don't have as much time, I'd love to make a suggestion for alternatives to the bonus episodes instead of nothing - some of my favourite stories (and some of the most popular ones) you guys have done are only available on the youtube channel, I'd personally LOVE to see AD-free and Uncensored (if possible) versions of these on the patreon, also if any of the multi-part stories could be combined into just one video would be a fucking dream. Just an idea that might soften the blow for the folks that that have been upset, anyways, Cheers guys!

I’m gonna be honest until last episode I didn’t even realize there was supposed to be more than no ads on here which is on me or maybe a comment on the way the Patreon has been run but I genuinely was just like $5 a month for no ads is a good deal to me

I’d say it’s pretty simple. Some people think the Patreon membership is warranted at its price because there’s no ads. I’m in that camp. However, there was the expectation of consistent extra content that was stated at the beginning and it is fair for people to criticize the lack of that being upheld. I think cheaper support options would be helpful in retaining good will, and even putting out smaller extra content that aren’t necessarily whole new episodes like bloopers, Patreon only contests, exclusive stream recordings with Patreon chat for some main episodes kind of like when Papa Meat did some solo episodes would help a lot. Or even if there was an announcement saying they’re changing the plans for how often extra content comes out after previous expectations have been fulfilled (Whatever that looks like) would help a lot too. I’m not parasocial (God I hope I’m not) but I understand that they have other projects to consider and what not and life stuff gets in the way so my mentality has been from the beginning that extra content is a bonus. But just cuz I’m ok with how it’s been doesn’t mean other people aren’t correct. Options, communication, clarity will go a long way.

Some of y’all wouldn’t survive a month subscribing to the big dogs on Patreon. They’ll charge you $30 a month, post the exact same content they put on YouTube and Spotify, toss in one extra video every six months, and call it “exclusive.” Then they’ll create cheaper tiers where the only real perk is getting that same content closer to its original release date. We pay FIVE U.S. DOLLARS a month for this “service,” as some of y’all have called it. But it’s more than a transaction, it’s a gesture of goodwill and a way to show that we genuinely enjoy the content and want to support the people creating it. Considering how nominal the subscription price is, the uprising of angry commenters feels less like justified criticism and more like people searching for something to complain about instead of taking a breath and recognizing that shit happens. I’d understand the frustration if this were a consistent pattern happening month after month with no communication, but it just isn’t. These two take the time to listen to you, respond to you, and make things right. Always. Be glad you aren’t treated like a number. Be glad you get these campfire-scary stories from two people who feel like friends for next to nothing. And, most importantly, be glad that you can, and always will be able to, creep your cast.

I’m not gonna lie and say that I haven’t noticed the lack of bonus episodes and thought, “Damn, that sucks. I like those.” But also I’m an adult and who cares? If you pay attention to the other channels, they’re uploading some pretty rad stuff. Like Hunter is putting out a studio-level puppet show on top of 30 minute videos every 3 days on his channel, and Isaiah putting out meticulously scripted hours-long videos on his, and they’re committing to a weekly podcast that’s had 7-10 hour long episodes. If it means missing bonus content a couple months here and there to avoid serious burnout leading to the show ending, I’ll gladly just enjoy the perks of ad-free and uncensored episodes. So if you’re in the comments right now trying to make them feel bad over this and threatening to cancel your membership unless they can “prove you wrong,” I’d really consider how much work they’re already doing on top of one being a new parent and one being a 78 year old man.

I just started subscribing because the content schedule the whole team does is insanely gruelling. Pouring all the potential profit into projects is keeping real creatives in jobs and paying rent. If I could front the dosh I'd pay for a higher tier that gives me no content but has the boys and their team take a month off.

I’m a pregnant mom and I really really don’t have much extra money each month but I pay for the Patreon because I LOVE creepcast and it’s basically my ONLY little treat or gift I get myself every month so as much as i understand it just sucks because I am paying for a service and just not getting said service in return. After paying all my bills and for the Patreon I only usually have about $100-$180 left over each of my two paychecks I get a month and I use that for gas and food. This is my sweet little treat.

I saw a comment on the last episode that I’m guessing prompted this message. He was speaking about a valid criticism of not getting what you pay for in regards to not much/missing content that we pay the Patreon for. The way I see it, it just depends on how you see spending your own money. I got the Patreon to support two creators so they can do more projects which they have mentioned. And they have been very open about scheduling issues especially since Wendi had Tonka that scheduling is gonna be all over the place. If you’ve had or taken care of someone else’s newborn, I feel like a lot more people would understand. And at least with me, I’ve seen context clues showing that they film a lot of episodes in a short time frame without this post from Wendi. See if they stopped all together, I’d be pissed. But that isn’t the case, we don’t know what they’re doing and they do a lot to keep some things secret, for us! You already have so many big content creators and corpos finding every which way to take advantage of you and squeeze out every last drop. People complain way too much imo. In the tier benefits it says exclusive content x2 a month. We got two in July and one in August, people are complaining over 1 missed exclusive, all over the price of a coffee.

Did anyone make a big deal out of it? Doing what both of you do takes a ton of time, the fact that we get multiple hour long edited stuff weekly is pretty incredible all things considered. One missed upload is hardly the end of the world

I do appreciate the response and I understand the struggles of having so many projects at once to jungle. I would like to mention tho that people being rude as hell and way too aggressive to you guys isn't appropriate but it's also not appropriate for the people in these comments to discredit the people that are upset about the lack of benefits they were promised. Yes, it's only 5 dollars but that's a lot of money for some people and so if they're willing to give it away I think it's only fair they get what they're promised. If you pay them for just no ads or to support that's very nice and generous. I love that for you but you can't be mad or rude to people that are unhappy with the service they were promised and not received. I think there's a balance here. I thank you for the acknowledgement of this but I just want to say I would appreciate more communication in the future about being late. You are allowed to be busy and make mistakes and we still love you guys and the show. Don’t let this eat up at you. Truthfully, you could record a reaction video on your phone and post it as patreon and we would like it. You could also make up for it by releasing bedtime to the patreons.
