Author Interview: EmpyrealInvective
We sat down with the author of It Breathes, It Bleeds, It Breeds, Fleshgait, Ensorcelled in the Earth and countless others. And talked about what inspires him, his time in the Peace Corps and being a steward to the writing community.

Looked into cysticercosis, holy hell that is disgusting. The cysts are tapeworm babies that nest themselves in fluid sacks throughout your body, its actual body horror.
Ayup, hence "chanco con semillas"/"Pigs/hogs with seeds" being a common saying in reference to Tenia Solium infections. Even more horrifying fun fact, I was having migraines at the time so I quickly convinced myself it was neurocysticercosis (the larva migrate up into brain/spinal tissue) until I got it checked out. The body contains the greatest horror of all. The ways it can fail and falter are innumerable and ever-present. (Age hit me like a truck.)
I'd love for you guys to get some ladies on here!!
I already know this dudes cool asf based off the disco elysium poster
The Disco Elysium artwork apparently ups my social rep with folks, it also gives me 10+ points in Communism.
This author has such a great energy and I really love how excited he is about writing and community! Great video!
From my time in the Peace Corps, I re-discovered my love for writing and community-building. We're all in this together and hopefully I passed the vibe check enough to convince some people to try their hand at writing and ask for help if they want it. Now, let's get some of the actually great authors in here like Christian Wallis, Dopabean, and C.K. Walker to share their insight.
I'm glad I watched - loved getting to know these authors, they deserve all the love.
I think they get along so well because they’re all autistic :) (said in a nice way, I’m also autistic)
Really cool interview! Keep it up! Love these!
Absolutely fascinating interview, thank you for taking the time to speak to the boys Travis. If you’re reading this I’d love for you to recommend your scariest story (in your opinion) that the boys haven’t read on the show yet, I’d love to read it :)
Thank you for the kind words! As for scariest story, fear is a bit subjective so I'll let you take a look through the synopsis page and see what grabs you: https://creepypasta.fandom.com/wiki/User:EmpyrealInvective/My_Stories Although I am quite proud of my latest story and would always enjoy feedback: https://creepypasta.fandom.com/wiki/Mycelium
I’d like to make a personal plea that you guys try to talk to Christian Wallace! Love his stories so much
Awesome interview, really appreciate the insight on EmpyrealInvective's craft and process etc. Thank you!!!!
I'm glad I could be of some help. Have a good one fam.
What a cool dude, glad yall spoke with him
Eh, I'm an okay dude at best, but I'm glad I got the opportunity to rep some of my fellow authors and explain how I make what I make. Thanks for listening and leaving a comment.
You guys are lovers and evidently not fans, just stop paying for the patreon if you want to bitch and complain. Jesus christ
The dedication to do 2 blood tithes in an interview is hardcore. New favorite writter
Travis, thank you so much for your genuine interview. In the first Patreon post, Hunter made it very clear he wanted to support the artists writing the stories, and I’m glad the author interview series has continued. Thank you for writing for us.
Thank you, I wish I wasn't so starstruck, but I'm glad my interview resonated with you. I'm working on Twi-celium, but it's turning out to be a bit of a beast so that may be a ways off..
This was a great video, these comment tho are sending me. I pay these boys to support THEM. If I get bonus episodes that’s great. The unedited cuts are fantastic and getting them before the other platforms. I’m new to this app and using its services but I pay to keep creeping my cast as long as possible.
Disco Elysium poster?! Oh hell yeah 👏
Ayup, Disco Elysium and a Nier Automata poster as well. Disco Elysium is a great game with genuinely hilarious and heartbreaking lines.
Had to renew my sub here just to watch this. I love these author interviews, and as an aspiring writer, its so interesting to hear how these successful authors manage to put their stuff together.
Glad to see you back and I'm glad you found the interview interesting. Hopefully it's some good advice for your future writing projects.
what a great interview! crazy ending lol
My vet techs are still absolutely roasting me about it.
Finally catching up on my backlog and I loved this interview! Empyreal seems like such a chill and cool guy, and the advice he’s giving is great ❤️ also lovely to see him so active in the reddit! Ironically, I *also* got into writing due to resident evil fanfic — must’ve been something in the water 😂
Hunter was right with his comment about how love for things inspires folks to create. I played ALL the Resident Evil games as a kid (I even played Gaiden and Resident Evil Survivor) and it got to the point where I had to find some way to express that love. Choosing self-insert fanfiction was *a* choice. There's a few series I love with all my heart (Silent Hill, SMT/Persona, and Soulsborne), and Resident Evil is one of them. Sometimes a good piece of advice is to write what interests you while building on skills.
Did they make dad's lips bigger in this episode?
I really enjoyed the interview, but the lack of other bonus content has been disappointing
What and incredible writer and person, I genuinely adore these interviews. You guys are filling a niche that so many of us have been waiting years for.
Imagine thinking its appropriate to be whiny brats in the comment section of an author interview. Especially when its highly likely the author will be in said comments.. do better yall :/---That aside im so happy yall got to chat with him! His works have been such a delight to listen to and I super duper look forward to more 💗💕🩷💞💖
Boooorrrrriiiinnnnngggg 😴
Based Disco Elysium fan. Green flag
Gotta rep for my boy, Raphael Ambrosius Costeau! Probably about time for a playthrough.
Holy shit yall are ruthless. If you don’t like it don’t pay for it.
Hunter is expanding into blood magic it seems
I always assumed he could just control fire. Boy, was my face red.
what a cool fuckin dude
Does anyone know which Jacob Geller video about the fear of the dark he’s talking about? He said 5 or 6 years ago and I only see one from last year and one from 2023 xox
Fear of the depths, it’s from 6 years back
The light in the window on the book behind him keeps flickering? Am I crazy?
It's likely sunlight as the sun was setting, I had my curtains open to let in some natural light, and it was probably going through the wavering trees.
I would love to read that Resident Evil fan fiction lol.
It would super-dox me and people that were close to me when I was nine or ten... but, here's page one of 80. I was going for the Cormac McCarthy and refused punctuation. I was a pretentious child: "My name is Travis I always thought school was hell and it sucked That was sarcasm except for it sucking but one day it came true The 4th grade was working on the marine mammals report. We have a school with electricly locked doors and windows. We were just working and someone cut the electric wire the doors locked. we thought what to do for hours finally Kim said "screw this," and walked away Lindsay followed behind all the sudden we heard a scream we ran out and found bloody footprints leading to the cafeteria and we found a torn up pair of glasses. then we saw it the thing lurched forward towards Kevin he ran behind and grabbed the buffet case pushed it on it we finally saw it had no skin and a huge tongue and while we were looking at it someone grabbed me he said there more of those he was holding a handgun and he started walking away we heard a scream. All the sudden I saw a huge arm break through the ceiling and grab him and pulled him up he dropped a handgun I grabbed it I saw it was moving towards the class I yelled get down the arm broke through and grabbed Glynis everyone started to panic it grabbed Brett, Chelsea, and Sarah. we had to have someone go up Connor said" I'll go up ," I gave him a boost up and after I thought what about the other classes so we went everyone was gone I heard a yell for help it was Jordan he was hurt and scared So we went to the nurses office the nurse was gone so we grabbed bandages and put it over the cut we were walking away and a arm broke through and pulled me up I struggled and it knocked me unconscious I woke up in the broiler room I saw a boy with a blood covered face and a sub machine gun in his hand he said take this he handed me a shotgun. All the sudden we heard someone yelling ran to the sound and I saw a burnt corpse and A.J. standing there with a flame thrower A.J. said if I hit one of these tanks the whole school would go up in flames" he took open fire on me Teddy came in threw another door I couldn't see A.J.'s body so I couldn't shot him I saw the boy crawling through the ventilation pipes he took out his machine gun and hit the a hanging light the light collapsed on A.J. he was unconscious he broke through the drop tile I said" who are you", he said you should know who I am I'm Connor All the sudden we heard a blood curdling scream coming from the nurse office we found Andrew green chained to the bed and Nick in the corner Nick said don't let him up he'll mutate and kill us all Connor and I help break the chain then Andrew fell to his knee's in agony I tried to pull him up but he knocked me out of the way and went strait for Nick's throat he grabbed Nick's head and pulled we saw blood go everywhere on Andrew's neck was a heart he started walking towards us we took open fire on him it didn't effect him I saw Kevin come š outwith a knife he jumped and stabbed rapidly and the things last move was slashing Kevin I felt sick I went to the restroom to calm down and then something tried to grab m"
I'm writing my first story that has similar beats and is partly inspired by The Ocean is much deeper than we thought and some of Christian Wallis' work. It is very gratifying to hear that empyreal also likes the ocean story! I love that one a lot and often listen to it for inspiration. Can't wait for my work to get ripped apart by the community 😁
I remember seeing a movie called DeepStar Six when I was way too young that featured a guy in a traditional heavy diving suit getting absolutely torn in half by an unseen entity and that forever instilled a healthy respect and fear of the ocean. I'll still go swimming, but I am thinking of seaweed being corpse hair and unseen massive eyes watching me from the 'neath. Suffice it to say, ocean horror isn't often utilized enough. Hopefully your story resonates with the audience. If they are harsh, try not to take it personally. Comments can be as insightful as they are instigatory.
Great interview! Thanks for the ad-free Bonus Content!
Thanks fam!
I recently half-convinced myself that a runny nose was a CSF leak because of some weird extenuating factors around it, so I could really relate to the tainted pork story and overall health catastrophizing. I loved the practical knowledge in this interview. I feel inspired to try out some of the story ideas I've had recently, with less nebulous pressure to "just do a good job" and more understanding of ways I can actually achieve what I'd like to with the process. Not to play armchair psychologist, but it feels like there are 2 overall voices in the discourse part of the comments section: the fans who view Patreon as a transaction, and the fans who view it as a donation. I'm generally in the latter group but I think it's unfair to be passive-aggressive to the people who are politely and rationally pointing out the lack in uploads, and unproductive to start flame wars with the people who are being needlessly rude about it. I would be really happy for more author interviews and variety content outside of bonus stories, if that's easier to hit the quota for. Ultimately you can't please everybody and only the people who are super emotionally engrained are going to take the time to comment (myself included.)
Unfortunately it seems health catastrophizing is a common human experience. I sometimes ignore my hunger, thirst, exhaustion like I'm avoiding looking at my car's check engine light. There is a real untapped potential in medical horror. I'm glad the interview gave some good practical knowledge. I find structure is best for my writing. I make a skeleton draft and set it up. As I ruminate and think on the premise, I'll write down any themes, ideas, or lines that come to mind. From there, I take the bones and start adding meat onto it. Usually chronologically, but skipping ahead to leave notes helps. If you're feeling stuck creatively, I usually read my story/what I have so far from the start to catch errors and look for lines to improve. Sometimes making those corrections is enough to get the writing process going and inspire me to write. Hope that helps!
No extra content this, no extra content that. just my two cents. And honestly, that’s about all it costs me (obviously I understand that statement isnt entirely true). I’m here to support these two with the $5 I might find in the couch cushions, under my car seat, or by doing a little extra side work. To me, it’s totally worth it. I genuinely enjoy their efforts, their personalities, and the content they create. They both seem like genuinely good people, and I enjoy supporting them on their individual channels as well. When you look at it that way, supporting 4+ channels for a few dollars is basically the cost of two Monster Energy drinks or one morning coffee. A small sacrifice for something I personally enjoy. It really isn’t that deep, guys. If you’re truly upset about paying for the service, maybe it’s simply not something you need to spend your money on. Not everything, or everyone, is going to be perfect, and it’s clear that they’re both getting pretty worn out trying to keep up with everything. At the end of the day, enjoy it while it’s here. This isn’t going to last forever.
He so precious I love him 😭😭😭
And I hear he can control fire. Isaiah too I guess.
This is getting ridiculous.its clear that we want more content and it's because us that your able to live comfortably and have time for other projects.
This is so so weird
The game of "What is the scariest thing that can happen to me in this moment" was something I did constantly as a kid. I'm happy to hear others talk about it but why did we have to do that to ourselves?
Creativity run amok would be my guess, although a more detached look from me, I would say it was my early attempts at catastrophizing as I was very anxious as a kid. I think my process was that if I could figure out the scariest scenario, that I could rationalize it and 'prepare' for what would happen if someone started knocking on the glass outside my second floor bedroom window. In some aspects, it can be healthy, but in excess, it made me a nervous wreck when I was younger.
What a super cool dude!! You are a very inspiring person and I look forward to what you give us in the future!!
Thanks! I'm currently working on the follow-up to Mycelium (Twi-celium). You can find the first part on the wiki or reddit: https://creepypasta.fandom.com/wiki/Mycelium to read while you wait.
Ngl a bit disappointed no bonus story even a short fast one would have been enough
I think it’s great y’all are giving a big platform for an author to talk about their works. Idk why people are being such haters in the comments
I literally joined the patreon for author interviews. It was literally one of the main marketing points of the whole thing, in case yall forgot. Many of us do in fact want this type of content. I love this dude. Also ofc his mic is bad, why would he need to own a good mic? He’s a vet and an author, please have some sense.
I thought my mic sounded alright. I shelled out like 150 on it. I think it was quieter as they were likely in the same space and trying not to echo, but I'm not too auditorily observant so who knows?
I see he’s a disco elysuim fan
Great game, would recommend the spiritual sequel novel "Sacred and Terrible Air" too if you enjoyed the game. The plots aren't strongly connected, but I enjoy their way of writing. It's both conversational like a Terry Pratchett/Vonnegut and acerbic like Harlan Ellison at other times. You can find english translations online.
The Gooner's audio is very low. :( Author and Hunter sound perfect.
Hunters question about the creative process was very insightful, about that shift from being focused on the end product to enjoying the process. Very real, when I was writing my first songs I’d get so stressed and I guess I still do but it’s so different now because before I just wished I could get it done. Just finished mixing my first record and because we all live in different places and have different schedules we were often mixing on conference call while I was at work which was stressful but I was so excited to do it and just be able to work on it so it’s interesting to hear that it’s similar from other creators in other mediums. I also kind of realized how much I enjoyed it when someone was promoting generative AI saying they don’t want to take the time to learn how to draw and even if they did it would still take too long to complete the final product. I kind of came to the same realization then that the process itself although often grueling is so important and fulfilling in and of itself. Love hearing about how other people create.
I think once a creator is able to get into that flow state, writing/composing/drawing/performing/singing almost comes naturally, but you have to get to that state or spark that imagination. My big issue with generative AI is its tendency to lose the effort which devalues the product. Yeah, I could probably watch Dante fight Guts that AI could generate, but at the end of the day, it's kind of like watching a child tell a story by bashing their action figures together without putting in the effort to invest the audience. All flash, no flesh. I worry that as AI becomes more prominent, it is going to continue leeching into creative processes and I think that is going to sap a lot of the investment the creators put in which is going to result in a worse product. The Ice Cream Man by Eli Roth is the perfect example of this, using AI to its detriment and losing that creative enthusiasm that invests audiences.
Yay, I love the author interviews!! I hope we get more of these soon, they’re always so insightful :)
I love the author interviews. I want them to interview Maria on the moon author too
They would be an excellent interviewee.
Two bonus stories a month my ass
Take this man's machete away
I got it wrapped now that the sap and poison ivy (was doing branchwork in my yard earlier) is cleaned off.
Can we get a bonus episode thats just an hour of hunter of doing ad reads
The fact that his comfort item is a machete is fucking hilarious
During the Peace Corps, my room was made of bricks up to your stomach, then they ran out and used wooden planks. You could see into my room if you got close enough. I once woke up to someone watching my sleep through the cracks. As such, I used to sleep with a machete by the bed. It was very useful when I woke up to a kissing bug crawling on the back of my neck. I'm sure there's a metaphor somewhere in there that my comfort item has an edge, but I'm not cutting into that.
If this is anything like the Penpal author interview, then watching this will convince me to buy their book and the book will be so dogshit I'll look back at their OG story and suddenly realize it too isn't actually great!! Vry Excited!!!
Hell yeah I'm so glad we got another author interview! This guy is def one of my personal favorites as well.
Hope you enjoy it!
i love the author interviews, theyre some of my favorite things you guys have done
the comments are so confusing.. this is literally a bonus episode that’s exclusive to patreon. no one ever said there would be bonus stories every 2 weeks so i’m not understanding why yall expect that
I think it’s cause there’s a promise of bonus content twice a month (and many assume it’s bonus stories) and ppl r voicing their frustrations
Of course, right when I subscribe to Patreon we get five weeks of no stories and then a random author interview. I don’t mind author interviews as long as they’re in addition to actual stories because the only reason I subscribed to Patreon was to get more creep cast. I’m fine if they’re busy schedules, don’t allow for more content this month, but at least communicated with the patrons
buncha grown ass adults complaining about not getting bonus content in the comment section of some bonus content
This dude is legit af.
Man... i wish reddit didnt randomly ban me for life.... this interview inspired me to write a story parreleling my struggle with addiction i wish i could post
“If i start something i have to finish it” All you Thomas Legotti haters take notes
That's just a personal preference. I've seen plenty of movies that saved it with an effective ending or third act twist. I think someone's creative effort deserves that much (within reason). That being said, I do also think it's important to walk away from something if it is something without value or is incendiary/pointlessly inflammatory so there should be a little give and take there.
Love this interview!! Always cool to see what goes in the mind behind the stories
listening to this again because the new episode (8/30) still isn't up 😭 I started refreshing patreon at 11am
YESSS ANOTHER INTERVIEW!! I love the interviews and hope yall do more. I’d also love to hear yall talk more about horror in general, I always find it interesting. Though I wish there was a clearer upload schedule for the patreon content.
If the lack of bonus episodes is really such a big deal to some of you, just don’t renew until there’s enough content to keep you busy for a month and then repeat. No one is forcing you to stay a patron
Yup, that's a good easy solution, that's what I did but sadly I had just paid for this month a few days ago lol
To the people senselessly defending no bonus content. Why? I understand these are two grown men with busy ass lives I am sure. But not even a post explaining any delays is pretty shitty tbh. I love these two but there’s not really a whole lot to defend here. Calling people “cry baby’s” because they practically lit a 5 dollar bill on fire when they were promised content is some real lame ass meat riding activities. Great interview, you guys killed it. Kept the flow going and continued asking fulfilling questions. Hope to see more from Empyreal on CC.
I agree, nothing wrong with asking for an explanation for the lack of bonus content, though some people are being a bit too harsh. That being said, not complaining is also valid, but I'm with you on why the hell are people defending the no bonus content lol and it's not just Hunter and Isaiah, there's a whole team behind CreepCast and we're not demanding bonus content, but at least an explanation or acknowledgement of the fact.
Why does wendigoons mic get worse and worse
As someone who does want to give writing a story a try, this video was definitely helpful. Thank you, guys!
Great interview! I loved that instead of plugging his own work at the end he used the opportunity to share the light with some other authors. Nice guy, just can’t be trusted with a machete ;)
Believe it or not, in my fifteen plus years using that machete, that's the second time I cut myself on it. I really Checkov-ed it by telling them that machete story. Anyways, folks heard me yap about myself and my writing for an hour. They deserve to check out some other authors and spread that love.
*decocks gun, presses play*
I guess you have to label posts like this as "Bonus Content" or the dunderheads won't get it
Man Patreon comments are almost as bad as Reddit. It’s 5 bucks guys
Great interview, but where are the bonus episodes? i really don't understand how you can make almost 200k a month on this platform and not be able to meet the bare minimum of what was promised.
“SUBSCRIBE TO PATREON FOR EXTRA CONTENT” they don’t promise extra stories anymore. THEY DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THAT
To be fair the tier does explicitly say “exclusive content 2x per month”
This guy is super cool. I love hearing from the authors
Thanks! I enjoy chatting with the audience and other writers/creators.
Hunter put in a little jab at all of the miserable creep cast audience in his latest Meatcanyon video, and it told me all I need to know regarding Hunter's attitude towards these losers. He doesn't give a shit, and neither should I. lmao.
What was the jab?
Hunter giggling throughout this episode is so contagious 😂
Really helped to set me at ease during the interview. I kept imagining the soon-to-be-thousands of eyes watching it which had my nerves up.
Alright fellas time for us to unsubscribe because its the ony way they are going to listen unfortunately
Love the interview, Ensorcelled is my favorite
Glad you enjoyed EitE. I enjoyed researching the Nuclear Semiotics, Project Ploughshare, and relying on my anatomical knowledge to build a more abstract story. If you enjoyed Ensorcelled in the Earth, be sure to check out the narration by Creepy Ghost Stories foir the spiritual successor to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG0nS3bxS2c
Bonus story when? What are we paying for? And also, finish the stories you start. Stolen Tongues. The Thing in The Basement. From Hell I Write. The Showers. No End House. Don't start stories you aren't going to finish.
Sorry but the whole reason a lot of us are Patreon members here is to get access to extra stories. No extra content in over a month and then an author interview…… just feel like we’re not exactly getting what we paid for
Give us our second bonus story for the month or don’t advertise 2 bonus episodes a month. Simple as. It’s been 5 weeks.
Travis i really like your ability to make your stories feel so real?! I cringed so hard listening to it breathes and Ensorcelled in the earth! Very impressive
I think a lot of investing a reader is putting them in the protagonist's shoes and effective descriptions. I find there is a very strong empathetic quality in writing and by making the protagonist's reasoning and decisions believable, you can get the audience onboard and cringing away. Additionally, sometimes a clinical and short description is more visceral than an overly florid or descriptive one ("Tendons tear away like overstrung cello chords."). Although those florid descriptions can find their use in other stories/circumstances. Thanks for the comment!
complainers in the comments are absurd. this episode was great, i love the author interviews and any bit of bonus content is always a treat. respectfully understand these guys are busy.
I always enjoy the author interviews <3
I pay for this because I love the content and want to support the channel. When I get bonus stuff.. awesome! When I don't... its all good. If your paying for only bonus material and not to support the channel... you don't have to stay. You also don't need to leave. Ive never heard a lot of these stories and some I've listened to several times, if it wasn't for creep cast, I would never had the pleasure of hearing them.
Great interview! He breathed and bled during the episode lol The discussions on the creative process were insightful
I pretty thoroughly effed up the ball of my foot if we can count that?
❤️❤️❤️
Also this was a really good interview tbh
There are a few questions I wish I answered better or with more explanation (the direct EitE question felt like I missed an opportunity to talk about the James M. Taboor book about two attempts to explore the deepest cave systems in the world, talk about Project Ploughshare and my conspiracy theory on cattle mutilation, or mention that Isaiah's reference of Kurt Vonnegut with Mother Night was actually spot-on as the cover-art is Kurt Vonnegut drawing of a nuke which I found fitting.), but overall they did an excellent job with the questions and switching back-and-forth and I know the next author they cover is going to be even better.
Yall being giant cry babies isn't going to make them suddenly want to film bonus stuff. Has the 5 dollars impacted you that much? if it has then maybe get your priorities straight bru. you're paying for no ads whatsoever on podcasts that are hours long, made by two guys pumping out hours of content and ONE OF THEM HAS A BABY like jesus just quit paying and come back in a few months if you need to get your moneys worth THAT BAD.
Backing them this hard when they’ve made a mistake isn’t going to get them to notice you, you’ll still just be another number to them shilling out money for stuff they don’t deliver on, some of us can afford the 5 dollars a month and are still pissed based on the principle of it all, cus I just know you’d be throwing a fit if you went to any establishments, paid your money and then they give you half or less than half of what you paid for, this is no different, but hey I hope their boots at least tased good.
Shame that machete got him a second time 😭 I was enjoying that conversation. Never written before but started a story recently and the advice was great
I certainly got the *point* in that interview. It was knife chatting up to that point. Another piece of advice I would give would be that for longer stories, make a skeleton draft for your stories where you can write down plot points and lines so you have something you can come back to and it can help you keep consistent themes throughout (for example, a werewolf story might benefit from descriptions and adjectives that reference more bestial aspects (growled, barked, snarled, snapped, howled, whimpered, whined) which tend to less consciously influence audiences like grocery store priming.
I adore the author interviews. Keep on keeping on fellas. Travis your stories are fantastic. Thank you for contributing to such a vibrant community, and giving the horror genre the hype it deserves 👏
Writing communities only thrive when people are working together and amping each other up. Working together elevates us all IMO.
Let’s goooo
One of the coolest, most excellent possible videos that could ever come out comes out. Cue the comments screaming and throwing their diapers around because this is somehow them being cheated out of something
I know typing this that I'm not the only person listening to this so apologies if this sounds like a dumb complaint but as somebody who listens to this at work where I have to use volume limitation headphones this episode was basically inaudible compared to the podcast over on Spotify or YouTube Even though I had it maxed like I do with the other platforms.
I really appreciate how well Hunter interviews people. Maybe a missed calling?
100% you can tell how passionate he is about people creative process.
Look dont get me wrong this cool and really good but like 5 weeks of nothing...
Complain about the bonus episode issue if you want, that's your prerogative. but this interview was really interesting and this author doesnt deserve you s**ting on him.
Let's all take a moment to not get too heated. There's very little disrespect going on here. I don't want anyone to think this was by any means an unpleasant process for me (except the machete) or have concerns about participating in these interviews in the future. Hunter and Isaiah were very cool/approachable in the brief conversation beforehand, a vast majority of the fans of the show have been very welcoming and friendly, and Harry was kind enough to pop on camera to say hi when I playfully said that talking to Creep Cast was cool and all, but I was here to chat with the person I'd been speaking with before they covered any of my stories after IB, IB, IB. This has been an overall cool experience (again the machete) and I hope this convinces some even more eloquent authors like Christian Wallis to talk about their methods.
I love the stories that are from human experience. This interview was full of nuggets of wisdom from the author. Thank you! I do not agree that you should always try to subvert expectations. Sometimes a good apple pie is just a good apple pie.
Honestly the hardest part of the interview was not getting sidetracked after I started my Peace Corps tangent as I have so many stories (getting lost in the woods in an escalating series of difficulties, buying lidocaine for a more humane pig castration project to reduce boar taint and accidentally injecting myself moments after hopping onto a bus, and even becoming concerned I'd drunk bad moonshine/methanol tainted after being cajoled into having a drink through the social rules of 'it's discourteous to decline anything offered.') Yeah, I could have phrased that much better in regards to tropes and expectations. I meant major tropes or evident twists. The example I like to give is my story "Gliomas and Graves" which is about a dying man (would you be surprised if I told you a glioma is a type of cancer arising from glial cells in the brain) visiting a significant other's grave in the woods. I knew the twist I wanted (he was the killer and this was a ritual/re-living of the murder), but realized how telegraphed it was going to be if I saved that for the end and how that was likely going to result in the audience getting bored with the apparent telegraphing for multiple pages after in preparation. Rather than drop the story for fear of being too formulaic or rush it, I instead chose to nonchalantly reveal that information early and use the rest of the time to build the discomfort for the rest of the story up to the point once the spade hits the homemade coffin lid of her grave after exhuming her. If he's willing to kill someone he loves and hide them away from the rest of the world, what horrible thing is he planning to do now that he's dying? By revealing at the midway point and subverting the audience, I do feel like I strengthened a premise. However, you are correct in that there are no absolutes in writing rules. I'll try to be more careful with my wording in the future. Thank.
I for one like the author interviews, this dude is a boss too. Helping the community and writing so many stories. I am here for it.... BUT, the people who act like everyone is entitled for bonus stories and they should just shut up really need to realize that the membership they are paying for says "Exclusive content 2x a month" if they aren't getting what they paid for then they are entitled to speak up. Overall I'd definitely like to see more communication from the creepcast team instead of silence if they can't keep up.
Very valid opinion- I 100% agree
I mean, at least like a 20 minute story would be acceptable at this point, like come on
a great pick of an author for the interview!
This was a good interview and I love isiah and Hunter. But charging people hard earned money for basically nothing seems a bit crazy. At least lower the price? Idk at this point just seems like I’m paying two extremely wealthy men for literally nothing.
when are you interviewing me, im a big ugly bug man with 3 arms
as a raging claustrophobic, ensorcelled is genuinely one of the scariest things i’ve ever had the privilege to read. thank you for being an inspiration, your writing is incredible!
I can understand how Ensorcelled would get to you with your claustrophobia. Claustrophobia story incoming, forewarning: I once had a cow I was examining in clinics lean into me in the barn during morning auscultation when I was by myself and pin me up into a wall and crush the air from my chest for roughly thirty seconds before I slipped by. You being inspired motivates me and makes me hopeful that the creepypasta/horror authors of today may inspire some of the craziest stuff of horror in the future.
I get people are upset about the 5 week gap in exclusive content, but is this not what we are here for. is this not better than a mediocre story. i enjoy the interviews. i hope there will be more. imagine if we got an interview with the writer of Jeff the killer or My best friend or happy appy. anyway we are hungry hungry hippos and need some feed
This just in, Patreon in shambles again
Idk why people are so upset this was awesome would love to see more author interviews
Love this guy! He hit 2/3 of it breathes it bleeds it breeds in this interview
If you would like the trifecta, you could argue I screwed myself pretty badly at the end by swinging the back of my foot into the edge. My Flesh-gait was all off the next few days. I'm sure you're sick *to death* of this wordplay so I'll quit it.
CHRISTIAN WALLIS FOR THE NEXT INTERVIEW
^ This.
Hell yes I can’t wait to listen to this at work lmao
*I gently open the comments*
*Author tentatively peeks around the corner (Maliagirl1314-style), waiting to try and sus out the general nature of the comment.*
I love these author interviews!!!! More pls begging for it!
It took a lot of back-and-forth with everyone having conflicts and pressing matters come up, but hopefully we get to see Christian Wallis, Dopabean, C.K. Walker.
Ok I'm out.
It's refreshing to get bonus content like this. I love the interviews.
To be a Patreon, is to be a patron of the arts. It is not necessarily a seller/consumer relationship, it is a donation with benefits. Our money as patrons is going towards supporting their endeavors in crafting their fine arts. Isiah is working on movies/writing, and hunter has his puppet show. Being a patron means they can focus on their arts without worrying about day jobs and the limitation of funding when creating art. That being said, there is a lack of communication, which becomes frustrating. If you are unsatisfied with donating towards their work, simply and quietly unsubscribe. If you have an extra 5$ a month and wish to see it go towards their teams (editors, producers, cameramen, studios, sets, artists, etc) then continue on. There should be no pressure put on any sides to give
When you creat an outline of what’s to be expected then it is no longer throwing dollars at a man and his guitar case, it is a business transaction, don’t creat the expectation if you don’t want criticism when you can’t deliver. I think more people are aware of that then they’d like to admit but pressuring others to shut up and unsubscribe is easier than hearing criticism of people they’ve put on pedestals. No one is infallible and criticisms is necessary for progress.
Jesus somebody tell Hunter to turn his mic up 😭
Why is Isaiah in a tin can
Bonus story now. I don’t really care for interviews.
sucks 4 u
The tisim is strong in this one
About to get enscrolled in my sheets as I listen to this. Nice to hang out again.
Keep making whatever the fuck you want Creepkings 👑, its your show 🫶
EmpyrealInvective is a national treasure 🙌 protect him at all cost!
W-what are we protecting me from?
As someone who knows absolutely nothing about the difficulty of printing and publishing, I’d love to someday see a physical collection of Travis’s short stories. One of the most consistently good authors they’ve covered.
Unfortunately with my experience on Amazon publishing, the juice wasn't really worth the squeeze. (i.e. the formatting was super-wonky, it wasn't too streamlined back in 2015, and just dealing with advertising sounds like pulling teeth to me). Maybe one day I'll get around to seeking out publishers, but for now, I'd love to appear in an anthology of shared authors (really used their quality to boost my quantity).
What's really awesome to me about these author interviews, is that while I'm listening I suddenly become inspired and then a ton of ideas start flowing of things to write about
Inspiration can come from the oddest of places if you let it. I also will get these flashes of ideas or cool premises while reading or listening to a story/narration/audiobook. Make sure to have a place to record those ideas so you can come back to them.
These guys don’t know how to run a Patreon just scamming their fan base. Not disrespecting the author they interviewed more so about how irregular the uploads are and how short they are, daylight robbery
Cry harder
Add a cheaper tier if you’re not going to live up to your explicit promise of bonus content
This is bonus content ....
BELL WITCH MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️RAHHHH ‼️‼️ WTF IS A SONG UNDER AN HOUR LONG
It's a great vibe piece. Literally got my ass handed to me by Mirror Reaper in Ultrakill and had to chill with it while writing. Such a good piece!
This dude speaks like a highschool theater kid
I wish I was brave enough for that. Nah, it was mainly swimming, football, survival horror video games, and reading/writing as a kid.
Yes another interview!! And the author to some of my fave stories!!
Some of yall really be bending over backwards to make excuses for these men like they’re infallible and then turning around and claiming others are being parasocial, honestly it’s funny af
Someone struck a nerve
why does isaiah have the worst set up xD
lol @ infinite jest. A+ bit. Keep up the good work. Soft a
Yup, I gotta be careful with that one. It has garnered a reputation of one of those books that guys love to mansplain. I enjoy the idea of media so attractive you can stop engaging with it, but Foster and Pynchon have a tendency to over-write in some aspects (at least to me when I was working through Gravity's Rainbow).
Im so glad they interviewed travis! Fleshgait is one of my favorite creepypastas. I also have severe social anxiety, so i need to tighten up so that doesnt happen to me 💀
There's a lot of folks that struggle with social anxiety (the door scene from Fleshgait unfortunately was an event that happened in college). Laughing at my stupidity took off some of the edge.
Love the author interviews! Keep em coming! Would love one with dopabeans
Dopabean, Christian Wallis, we got such an excellent group of authors that you just know are going to be insightful.
Interview Christian Wallis next ffs
Second that!
Enjoyed this interview so very much. Thank yall!!
Shout out the Goat getting an interview, excited to hear more of your work!
Working through Twicelium as we speak. Hopefully I get something to show in the near future.
Love these author interviews so much. It's always nice to see the beautiful people behind the atrocities. No hyperbole here, Ensorcelled In The Earth is one of the few written stories that has made my stomach turn, and I loved every minute of it. And then It Breathes, It Bleeds, It Breeds is easily in my top 3 stories on the pod, it's a great example of why I love the horror medium. Keep on writing homie.
I feel bad for Travis, great interview but it’s getting a negative rep because of the bonus episode shenanigans
Not to worry the author confirmed they don’t care about people complaining and actually understand why, they are just happy to be on and share
Wait! This is the exclusive?? Just shut it all down lmaooo
Hope you two made your buck this month, nicely done!
I love this pod, but over a month without a bonus episode ? You guys aren’t keeping your promise. We pay every month; you make over 150k a month with this Patreon. Please do your part.
fr
I'm sorry this great author is caught between the crossfire of this; it just sucks that you both make like 200k a month from the Patreon and can't bring yourselves into just reading 2 extra stories per month. It's sad and scummy.
Love the interviews guys! Please keep doing them!
I love the author interviews- if all you care about is extra stories, you can always go read them yourself 🤷♀️ Forcing them to make extra content isn't going to give quality either, and then you'll complain about that. I'm on this Patreon because I care about what they're doing, I love both of these creators, and supporting them feels good. Like, if you're unhappy with your extra monthly content, just leave. It will make reading all these crybaby comments less tedious.
Nobody’s forcing them to do anything clearly lol they’re willfully making a Patreon and advertising bonus content and not doing it lol
can yall upload the older stories so we can watch them ad free? 🗣️
Oh wonderful I love this author! Ensorcelled in the earth hits so hard it's insane. And the story telling in It breathes is just so cool😎
Thanks for the kind words. It blows my mind that something I wrote almost a decade back would still find audiences. Thanks for keeping that spark. It's comments like that that make the time, research (researching radiation sickness was not a vibe), and effort worth it. Thank ya kindly.
Great interview! Not missing another bonus story because I am re listening to the whole catalogue for the 4th time while I’m at work. Love the author interviews, wonder who the next one will be…
I would love Christian Wallis, CK Walker, or Dopabean, but there's so many good options.
People can give feedback without pointlessly shitting on a great interview with an author who’s contributed to so many all timer episodes of creepcast.
Have you been at your favourite musician concert and they have the other lesser known band opening for them and then they play for like 30 minutes when the total time announced was 1 hour? Yeah, that's the feeling. Glad everything is alright with the guys though.
It breathes is a top 5 episode for me 🙌
It busses I hear.
Ooooo i do pay for this shiz
I just wish they would breed a bonus episode
Love the disco elysium poster
Ayup, I got that, a Displate image of Empathy (the skill I cracked the case with), a painting rendition of Nier: Automata, and a huge dialogue tree from Planescape Torment. I need to get something art related to showcase my love of Bloodborne and I think that'll be my nerdy limit. I'm thinking like a hunter dripped out before the Beggar. Thanks for noticing. Disco Elysium was one of the few I managed during veterinary school. It's worth the time.
Travis you’re a very talented writer and I’m excited to see more of your work in the future. As for the discourse in the comments, it’s unrelated to you as an author and I hope seeing the comments didn’t steal the thunder of your interview; keep up the great work!
I'm a denizen of the internet. People voicing their discontent isn't going to phase me much otherwise I wouldn't haunt this place like a fart in a church. Hopefully we get some more great content for the people who want more critiques. I hope they continue the author interviews as well.
Some commenters here seem Swifty Adjacent
"Horror author spills blood during interview with popular horror podcast hosts"
Talk about putting blood, sweat, and tears into your work. With IB, IB, IB in my writing repertoire, let's be thankful those were the only fluids at risk here. Jokes aside, the ritual is almost complete. Blood Whistle: Hear Its Cry!
Ooh yay I love the author interviews, it's kind of a fun break to have different types of material.
Love that we’re all autistic here 💖💖
I'll sound off with a vocal stim to that. You're in good company from my chats so far.
Please do an interview with Strange_Accounts next!
Yes! We got some excellent options and I hope we see some even more insightful authors than I.
travis, you are a wonderful writer and i'm so glad you got to be on the podcast! i feel so bad for all the discourse in the comments for this interview that has nothing to do with you or your work. looking forward to more stories from you!!
People are allowed to have this discourse as this is their money. I hope it all gets resolved and I just apologize for my role as I'm had to back out of one of our scheduled interviews due to a veterinary emergency at my clinic so I likely inadvertently contributed to this due to being unable to align all our schedules.
I understand why there hasn’t been a bonus in a while. Both you guys run multiple channels and wendigoon has an infant daughter but you guys need to atleast address why there hasn’t been a bonus in 5 weeks instead of leaving us in the dark.
Everyone needs to stop being mean :( , just because you’re jealous doesn’t mean you have to be so hateful when they don’t do exactly what you want . God forbid a public figure has a real life outside of this and fall behind on a project like this just like any of us would. I quite literally don’t understand? you don’t like it go away. Sincerely one of the handful of women that listen to creep cast
I understand folks being upset and I hope it's because they got some irons in the fire and we'll see some more bonus content (hell, I'd appreciate a quick chat on Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma as I feel like we're eating good horror content wise. Honestly, the reason I'm here is, in the lamest sense possible, I hope to lowkey fund Creep Cast like an investment as I'd love a publishing house style to arise from this or some project like that. It's high hopes, but that's why I'm here as I want to hope to see some sick new horror arise from people stretching their creative muscles and if we're being honest, I would like to see people stepping away from AI and trying their own hand at the creative process if I can stand on my soapbox for a bit longer.
this was such a good interview I loved hearing from this guy
I'm just glad I got to reference both of their videos (radiation sickness and the Norwegian church burnings) and managed to not go completely deer-in-headlights.
Hey for real, fuck the both of you for taking peoples money and giving nothing for it. Theres actually just no excuse, you take money and promise a service and just don’t do it. Also might I add that all you have to do is fucking READ AND RECORD IT. There are channels that put out content DAILY that would take more time to put together than you two con artists sitting and rubbing each other up doing story time. Genuine pisstake, and I’m shocked more people are upset by blatant fucking robbery
Incredible interview, but that ending with him cutting himself again was fucking amazing
You can also see the Hawaiian shirt hanging off my chair I wore to the start of the interview, but I was worried about sweating with multiple layers. I just hope to see a countdown clock appear above my head when I start the machete story leading up to me losing my Totin' Chit by practicing poor tool safety and driving my foot into it. You gotta appreciate my reference to the Vonnegut quote as the icing on the cake: "I identified a basic mistake my parents had made about life: They thought that it would be very wrong if anybody ever laughed at them" (Deadeye Dick) Please let it be known that I will never poke fun in the comments about Isaiah or Hunter mis-quoting something ever again. It's like I turned my brains to mush the instant the questions started.
It is quite litterally ordering a coffee and getting just a plain water and being told to just accept it, would you care if the barrister was having a tough time? No you wouldnt and you shouldnt because you pay for a product and that should be what you receive
No- it's ordering a coffee and sometimes you get coffee and other times they upgrade you to a latte.
I don’t see why everyone is complaining, this is a great episode for many people who are involved enough to have the patreon. history shows a lack of content can also mean a bigger project coming up, even if it isn’t give the boys some grace they run multiple channels and have kids to take care of. We get add free content and access to a full archive of the creeps. if you’re in such a lack of content, go listen to an old episode you haven’t maybe in a couple years.
I'm so glad you're fine with paying money for broken promises. By all means, please continue. If a membership subscription says it includes 2 bonus episodes a month and we only get one episode two days before the next month, then people have every right to be pissed and complain. The very least they could do is acknowledge it and provide an explanation on the delay.
I love the interviews but I was hoping for a bonus story been a bit
I’m totally fine with getting this as bonus content in lieu of a story but 5 weeks of nothing and still paying for bonus content is a little bit of a bummer my guys. I’m just hoping something bad didn’t happen, like Isaiah getting on a dirtbike or Hunter getting on an anything.
"I was so excited to listen to the new Creepcast interview. That was, until, I realized the creature had cursed Isaiah with shitty mic quality"
Comically enough, it was almost me. The first time we tried to setup an interview, I bought the shittiest mic and it sounded like I was talking while buried like I was speaking out of someone's back...
Author interview! Heck yeah! I've loved all EmpyrealInvective's stories!
Glad you're enjoying them. I hope we get some fresh authors covered on the show, but I'd love if they ever covered a grab bag of my stuff in a year or so just to avoid over-exposure of me.
cant believe he cut himself bro
Swinging my feet like a giddy schoolgirl, licked the ball of my foot right into the blade and then slid down it a bit Final Destination-style. Forgot complete about the machete I was jokingly debating on showing after the earlier reference to it and ended up "Checkoving" myself in front of at least 500 people now.
Why does Isiah sound like he's talking from two rooms over lmao
Patrons you do realize that you can just unsubscribe if it's not worth it and then resubscribe at a later date right?
Not to be mean spirited, but 5 bucks is feeling expensive my dudes
If 5 bucks is expensive for you you need to be making better life choices
Good episode
Great interview! Really great insight from the author, he was very engaging to listen to. Also appreciated the thoughtful questions you guys asked. It's hilarious and fitting that the interview had to end quickly because of a machete incident!
I managed to get through the shout-outs before channeling my inner-Final Destination so let's count that as dedication at least. It did wrinkle my brain and I had to keep shifting from listening to two great youtubers passively and realizing that this wasn't a chill out and listen to something while cooking, gaming, eating, etc.
Pleeeeeeease get our main gal C.K. Walker
Christian Wallis, C.K. Walker, and Nick Lowe might be enough to erase the stain I've left on the Patreon.
I think fleshgait was the only one that a story genuinely got a disgust reaction out of me. Normally i can just enjoy a story but that one somehow got me shiverin because of how the blended in, its weird
It's that idea for me of something trying to be human but not *quite* having it down. Although I love me some Philip K. Dick/Bladerunner (phrasing) and couldn't help, but include a little "more human than human" reference. There is something unnaturally uncanny about it. I loved the idea of the MRI concept in the Backrooms of a copy of a copy. We are in such a hopeful time for horror IMO.
Everybody complaining about the bonus stories not being addressed, as if they didn't drop a lengthy explanation about how Isaiah's a father now like months ago. They said in that video that content might slow down, you don't like it, stop paying. Wait a year or two, put down five more dollars, and I'm sure you'll have a wealth of bonus content to sift through.
The $5 membership includes “2 pieces of bonus content per month”. That’s the transaction. If they go over a month and this is the first piece of “bonus content” then they’re just not providing what they promise. Simple as that. If they are busy and keep up with the content, then they need to either stop charging or charge less. Obviously we all appreciate what they do that’s why we’re Patreon members. But for them to not provide the content but still charge for it is unfair and that’s literally the only correct position on the matter
Post 47 of asking that I would really love to see yalls spin on reading "I'm a Guard Stationed at a secret government prison" https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/cr0lna/im_a_guard_stationed_at_a_secret_government/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Quit the spam 👎
We don’t give a shit about this just give us more stories
He looks exactly how you’d think he does
Where can I find the other author interviews?
I used the search function and input "Interview" to pull up the other two.
It breathes, bleeds, and breeds is genuinely one of my first/favorite story. So seeing this is making me clap my toes and rub my belly in delight.
Mayhaps a chortle or two during the Nicki Minaj OR scene?
Isiah sounds like he's been kidnapped by Tommy Taffy.
This angel does not compliment Isaiahs lips lol
The author interviews is one of the best things to come out of this in my opinion. Getting to hear such different ideas on what goes into making a story and how people get involved in the community is always interesting to see. Can't wait to listen to bell witch looks fucking sick. I hope they interview Oda next
Bell Witch fucking rocks as a moodpiece for certain stories. I happen to be a lightning rod for disaster so I get a lot of story ideas dropped on my lap. I'd love to see Christian Wallis or Dopabeane myself, but I hope we see a good palette cleanser after my slop.
When are we getting a bonus episode seriously that’s the only reason I got Patreon
someone should make note that there is no clear way to find all of the interviews. You guys should make a seperate Playlist for specifically interviews
I used the search posts feature and put in "interview" to get them if you're looking. Hopefully they get Christian Wallis on and can get a playlist going.
I appreciate the author interview but 5 weeks of no bonus content story is not fair for us paying for this. Some sort of communication on what's happening would be nice.
Forget the seven sisters where are my International brethren at?
Spent some time in Nicaragua, St. Kitts, and Ireland. Lotta great folks out in those parts.
The Cast has been Creeped this day!
Travis!!!!!!! There’s such a lighthearted joy you exude while talking about your thought processes and inspirations, and all while lifting up other creators. It’s nice to see someone so genuine. You’re awesome man!
Times are disastrous, we could all use a bit more kindness. Writing is a cathartic process for me. I like to think it helps me bring some of the rougher stuff into more context, and it's great to see other people exploring creative writing and horror to their comforts as well. I just hope we can get some new and interesting authors and keep this horror media renaissance going.
LMAOOOO “run and get gas.” That was clever. Side note bro this is some of the most vocally unappreciative members LOL what’s yalls deal. I know it’s always the loud ones that complain but golly just cancel the payment and move on. It’s worth it for no ads every week alone IMO. If you think they don’t live up to what’s offered, it ain’t planet fitness. canceling is an option 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A lot of people subscribe specifically for the extra episodes tho. If your fine with it thats you but that doesnt mean people are wrong for feeling upset they paid for something that they didnt get
Why are all the fans so touchy you can’t mention how they didn’t deliver the bonus story’s we are paying for and you get a bunch of people that get offended and need to defend two people they don’t know like I love hunter and Isaiah but I’m gonna criticize them when they don’t deliver on what they promised to people that are paying them im not calling them bad people I know they are busy but them or someone close to them should be able to at least log into the Patreon and give us an update but I’m the devil for saying that im more upset with this community than I am hunter or Isaiah they are busy it is what it is but I should be able to complain about not getting what I payed for without a bunch of people getting offended and calling me a loser like it’s my money I don’t get what I was supposed to receive I have the right to express disappointment just like you have the right to forgive them and not mention anything
There’s no nuance. Even if you have valid criticism (ie: the Patreon literally advertises 2 bonus episodes per month and we’re not getting it) people who are parasocially attached will take that to the extreme and think you hate both Hunter and Isaiah. It’s sad critical thinking can’t apply to some people and criticism isn’t allowed without people jumping in and interpreting it as invalid just because both creators are likable. Unfortunately those people can’t see both sides, so arguing with them is a loosing battle. Additionally- telling people to just cancel memberships doesn’t work when people bought a yearly subscription based on false advertising. It’s a shame people hand-wave deceptive advertising- it’s not unjustified for people to be frustrated when financial decisions were made based upon a repeatedly advertised promise that isn’t being upheld.
Will there be a live show this year?
Awesome interview but Isaiah needs to raise his mic volume
Yay now only 3 behind
actually?
It’s entertaining to hear an amazing author’s thoughts and such, and I really am enjoying this so far but I feel like they are honestly interrupting him too much
Honestly, they were helping me out quite a bit as I had a few brain freeze (literally blanked on the album (mirror Reaper) despite having had it on hours before) moments so that'd be my reasoning for those.
I LOVE DISCO ELYSIUM
As do I. Gotta be in the top 5 for me.
I support regardless of bonus content, so anything we get is great!
The YouTube page he mentioned was “Al Dente Rigamortis” if anyone was curious. Took me a second to find it, story is paid for in blood
Ayup, if you find it on youtube, peep my comment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQoL1rgiXdk&t=2328s They had some good insight from a ttrpg lovecraft background and I always love someone that helps me correct my overlooked errors.
Day 14 of asking the boys to add Myrtle Beach to their next tour 🤓
I’m pleading on my hands and knees for bonus stories but I acknowledge that for $5/month we have it pretty good. Keep up the good work 🤙
He is my favorite author they cover. Something about his writing is so grand
Glad you enjoyed it. Wendi showed a bit of interest in the preamble chat about one of my Lovecraftian period pieces so you might have to suffer through another one of my creep cast episodes in the future.
Hey guys! I'm Gareth, the director of the upcoming short film adaptation of Travis' story 'It Breathes, It Bleeds, It Breeds', that was mentioned at the end of the episode. If you guys want to support the production, I have a GoFundMe set up! https://gofund.me/85d876b9e
EmpyrealInvective here! I'm really interested to see what such a creative director can do with one of my horror shorts.
the Disco Elysium poster is elite ball knowledge
It is an excellent game ("True darkness has love for a face." is such a horrifically poignant line). I had a Nier Automata painting of woods in the background as well. The machete was my Bloodborne equivalent if I can get tangential with it. I wanted to give something for people to check out once they got bored with my droning.
TALK TO MORE AUTHORS YES!!!
Christian Wallis. Hell, I interviewed Bogleech back in the day. We got some insightful-ass folks out here. Let's set it up.
Listening to this podcast is like actually having friends
It was so weird hearing them talk and having to quickly break from my passive watch their content mindset.
I am so disappointed with people’s entitlement regarding bonus content. Grow up. This was such an interesting and thoughtful interview and the fact that comments are complaining about lack of bonus episodes is frankly embarrassing.
Preach!! It’s like they were expecting 2 bonus episodes per month when purchasing their subscription- the nerve of them to get frustrated😪
WE NEED THE RESIDENT EVIL FAN FIC FILES NOW 🙏😂
That shit would dox me and give away personal information so bad. I sent Harry the first page with word count included... he hasn't responded back to me for a while... Imagine this, fifth and sixth graders dealing with a zombie outbreak the only way they can: through gunplay, kung-fu, and DBZ-level power schemes. My shame is immeasurable.
I need wendigoon to start harassing these authors to see if they know who wrote mother horse eyes
I think they want to be private and honestly, having a certified banger like that, I'm willing to oblige.
Boys, please go see Teenage Sex & Death and do a review video like you did for Lee Cronin's The Mummy
Second that. It was fucking great!
This guy seems so fucking cool wtf
I am not. I was a nervous wreck, but I refuse to pass up an opportunity to support authors and talk about my experiences.
you guys should read time travel is not what you think its like or my friend has been living in an alternate reality for the past 7 years
Totally understandable that boys have their plates full. It'd be nice to have some clarification or acknowledgement of the lack of extra content, from boys of someone from the team.
iceberg boy is too quiet
Bell Witch mentioned 🤘🏼
It's such a vibe setter for Twicelium. I love it.
I'm currently writing my first story that I plan on finishing lol lots of shitty scraps over the year I love this interview so far
Best of luck with the first story. Keep at it! Word by word and you'll get there.
This is very exciting!! I’m so happy you guys were able to get in touch with him.
It took a while for everyone's schedules to align. I think this was our third or fourth attempt. It didn't really click until that morning and I had to rush to set up a background of stuff more interesting than me to keep people's focus.
The return of the machete is truly an exceptional moment.
Checkov's machete. I decided against posting a pic of the cut as the internet has enough photos of my feet already.
Holy fuck this is insane. Is it still considered creeping my cast? I don’t feel like my meat Canyon is being wendigooned quite the same way, but I love it all the same.
Very cool what about the 2 other missing bonus episodes?
Take a shot everytime someone says the word 'community'
Double shots if I use the word "process".
I fucking hate Patreon commenters
Haha moneys involved, people gonn be picky
1:00:23 Hey, I know that guy!
I've never seen this man in my life. Jokes aside, thanks for your help with my writing Brothers, Blood, and Bone!
Brilliant author, you seem lovely mate, appreciate you giving your time and advice!
Wish I coulda thought a little more and went into deeper depths about Ensorcelled in the Earth, but it is what it is.
Sick - loving hearing this author speak on his own history, interests and advice. He’s as good of an interviewee as he is a writer!
please do not listen to the complaints! love the extra context even in different formats , will continue to support always ! 🫶🏻
Yeah don’t listen to half your fanbase who’s subscribed here that’s legit just asking for the bare minimum (what they’re paying for)
Great interview, this guy is awesome!
This is tight
'preciate it fam.
Daaaamn it's been a minute!! Hype
Hell yeah
CreepCast but it’s David King
I miss windi- blum 😔
YOOOO
Brothers we are not wanting this we desire the extra stories not author interviews
Speak for yourself bud
A rather submissive camera angle from the gooner
Nice of wendigoon to zoom in from remote Siberia with his Waffle House brand mic
Can we expect a second story before months end?
Seven sisters!!! How are you my lovely ladies ❤️❤️🥰
Really great interview!
What a great interviewz the author seems like such a humble and cool guy
I try, hopefully I can give some better advice over the weekend.
Im breathing, im bleeding, and brother am I breeding
Bussin' as well?
Oh my, issues with the goon mic
YOOOOOO I'm hyped!!! I love the past interviews, I just know this is gonna be a banger 😎
Yippee
six seven😂😂😂
No doubt we get another bonus episode in the next 3 days right guys??
Feels like we’re gambling with hope.
Yesss i love these interviews. Jack Townsend would also be totally down to talk with yall if you ever wanted. He’s super active.
MACHETTE
My community had trouble with my last name so they mispronounced it as Cumba, I was basically being called Travis Machete and I refused to correct anyone.
Earliest ive ever been to anything
Woooooooo lets goo!! For the long drive
